The Alleged BlackBerry R10 Now Spotted In Black

The Alleged BlackBerry R10 Now Spotted In Black

BlackBerry currently only has two new smartphones to offer that run on its latest BB 10 OS. The company had previously confirmed that they will be releasing a number of new devices this year, including entry-level and mid-range smartphones. While rumors of a BlackBerry 10 powered tablet have been floating, we’ve seen the company maintain different product lineups in the past, such as the Curve and Bold. The first rumor of this BlackBerry 10 R-Series smartphone was actually a sketch by someone who had seen the device. Then this alleged smartphone was spotted in white, red and now it has been spotted in black as well.

Some unconfirmed specifications for the R10 have also been revealed. The smartphone might have a 3.1 inch display with a 720×720 resolution, 8 GB of internal storage, 2GB RAM, 5 megapixel camera on the back, 1800 mAh battery and BlackBerry 10.1 OS. Will this smartphone ever see the light of day? That remains to be seen. For what its worth, the handset in these leaks just might be a prototype of a smartphone that shares similar design aesthetics. The company’s CEO said a couple of weeks back that their new products will be fantastic, does the alleged R10 look like it is? [photos via DGtle]

Google Glass iPhone support imminent tips Google employee

There are many features of Google Glass that require an Android handset, namely GPS navigation and text messaging. However, according to a Google employee, Google Glass will be able to do all this with an iPhone as well. It’s said that Google Glass will soon be able to function independently, regardless of of the device that it’s paired to.

Google-Glass2

This means that users won’t necessarily have to have an Android device in order to use Google Glass, and it’s possible that they’ll soon be able to function without needing the My Glass companion app. We already know that iOS doesn’t take Google Glass lightly, and while the pair of glasses will at least work with the iPhone, users can’t get turn-by-turn directions or use text messaging.

However, that’s expected to change, most likely with the retail version of Google Glass, where it’ll act independently instead of relying on your smartphone for a lot of its functions. Currently, Google Glass uses your Android smartphone’s GPS and data connections to get many of the features working.

Taking into account what the Google representative said, it seems Google Glass will soon be fully functional on its own, and while you’ll still be able to pair it with your smartphone, it shouldn’t matter what smartphone you’re using. However, it’s possible that a companion app will always exist on Android that will give Android users a bit of an advantage over iPhone users, but we’ll see.

Xbox Infinite Name Allegedly Leaked In Upcoming Sonic Game [Rumor]

Xbox Infinite Name Allegedly Leaked In Upcoming Sonic Game [Rumor]We’ve been hearing all sorts of combinations for Microsoft’s next-gen Xbox, such as the Xbox 720, the Xbox Infinity, and recently the Xbox Fusion. Since Microsoft has not officially announced the name of their next-gen console, we guess any of these names could be likely, although thanks to a recent leak, it seems that the Xbox Infinity, or at least a variant of it, could be possible. According to a post on NeoGAF, it seems that there might have been a leak from SEGA for the company’s alleged upcoming Sonic game, Sonic Excursion.

According to the alleged leak, the game apparently listed which platforms it would be available on, and listed platforms such as the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, 3DS, and interestingly a certain Xbox Infinite. Like we said earlier, since Microsoft has not officially announced anything, any of these speculated names is just as likely as the next, but at the same time if this leak from SEGA is real, we’re guessing that SEGA probably knows something that we don’t, making the Xbox Infinite moniker even more possible. Either way take it with a grain of salt for now, but how does the Xbox Infinite name sound to you guys?

Battlefield 4 Developer DICE Might Be Considering Dinosaur-Themed DLCs [Rumor]

DLCsBattlefield 4 Developer DICE Might Be Considering Dinosaur Themed DLCs [Rumor] seem to be the rage these days as one of the ways game developers can get gamers to pay for additional content, such as maps, additional quests, items and so on, but for the most part the DLCs do keep to theme of the game. Battlefield 4 developer, DICE, on the other hand might be looking to deviate from tradition, at least that’s what the rumors are saying for now. According to NeoGAF user, Jibbajabbawockky, he claims to have taken part in a poll conducted by DICE asking them for their thoughts about potential new features.

For the most part the poll seemed to be more or less standard fare, until they asked about potential DLC packs in which the poll allegedly asked the participant if they might be interested in a co-op mode in which players team up with each other to fight dinosaurs with bows and arrows in hand, along with other primitive-type weapons! Some potential names for this DLC included “BF 4: BC”, “BF 4: Primal Combat”, and “BF 4: 21942 BC”. It sounds a little ridiculous, but bear in mind that this is a rumor so take it with a grain of salt, but what do you guys think? Would a dinosaur co-op game using Battlefield 4 graphics sound like something you might be interested in?

iOS 7 Might Meet Its Deadline After All [Rumor]

iOS 7 Might Meet Its Deadline After All [Rumor]You might recall a couple of days ago, alleged details of Apple’s upcoming iOS 7 were revealed, and amongst the rumors, it was also suggested that due to the extensive overhaul brought to the operating system that it could potentially see a delay in launch. For those who might be a bit worried over this potential delay, you might want to rest easy because according to anonymous informants who tipped off the folks at AllThingsD, it seems that the latest update to the OS will be on time and that there will be no delay.

The report has suggested that team members from the other software divisions at Apple have been gathered to help speed up the process of getting iOS 7 ready on time, similar to what they did back in 2007 when members from OS X 10.5 Leopard were tasked to help the iPhone team get the device and operating system ready for its launch. As expected iOS 7 is set to make its debut at WWDC which will be taking place next month. A release for the operating system remains unknown, although if Apple were to keep to their tradition, the update would be released around the same time as the next-gen iPhone.

More Nokia Phablet Rumors Surface, Suggests Q4 2013 Release

More Nokia Phablet Rumors Surface, Suggests Q4 2013 ReleaseWe had previously heard the rumors that Nokia is interested in creating a phablet device of their own to compete against the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note, and recently the folks at MobileToday have learnt via their sources that the previous rumor could be true. According to their sources, Nokia is pegged to release the rumored device in the fourth quarter of 2013 and apparently it might even be bigger than the Galaxy Note 2 at 6”, unless of course Samsung decides to up the ante with the Galaxy Note 3 which has been rumored to sport a 5.9” Full HD display.

MobileToday has also learnt that the device could be tentatively priced around £400 (~$621) and £500 (~$777), definitely putting it in the range of a high-end device. Apart from that we’re not sure what sort of specs we are looking at, but considering that there are signs suggesting that Microsoft will begin supporting 1080p Full HD displays in the next Windows Phone update, a 6” Full HD Windows Phone device would definitely be an interesting one, don’t you think?

Microsoft reportedly to produce 7.5 inch tablet

Back on April 11, we heard rumor that Microsoft is working on a 7-inch Surface tablet, with the information being provided to The Wall Street Journal by unnamed sources. That rumor has surfaced again, this time with NPD DisplaySearch telling the folks over at CNET that Microsoft will produce a 7.5-inch tablet of some sort, and that unlike the late-2013 date supplied by the original sources, the tablet won’t be available until 2014.

Surface

According to the first rumor, the tablet would go into production later this year. But NPD DisplaySearch’s analyst Richard Shim says: “From the supply chain side, we’re seeing the panel specifications, the touch module, the mass production schedule being made … Mass production is Q1 2014. Apparently, pretty significant volume. Multiple millions.”

The rumored tablet is said to have a 7.5-inch display with a resolution of 1400 x 1050 (233 ppi), which puts it ahead of both the iPad mini and Nexus 7. The price, however, will still be on the higher end, with a different source saying that Microsoft is aiming at $399, but that the price may drop below that. The company has been taking steps to get the price lower, which includes changing panel suppliers.

It’s worth noting, however, that a few days ago DigiTimes published a piece alleging that Microsoft will be rolling out a second-gen Surface tablet that measures in between 7 and 9 inches and will be announced soon, possibly this summer. Such a rumor is more in line with the rumor heard earlier this month via the WSJ, but until Microsoft says anything official, it is all speculation at this point.

Nokia Lumia EOS And Catwalk Release Rumored Between May And August

Nokia Lumia EOS And Catwalk Release Rumored Between May And August

More rumors regarding Nokia Lumia EOS smartphone started coming in last month, it is believed that the Finnish manufacturer’s next flagship smartphone will have a 41 megapixel camera. It was reported back then that Nokia was testing two versions of the EOS, one with a quadcore and one with a dualcore processor. The EOS is said to be an AT&T exclusive for 1-3 months before being released globally. The ‘Catwalk’ Lumia smartphone was reportedly shown to a select few at an inviting only briefing at MWC 2013. This is device is said to be the successor of Lumia 920 with same internal specs but a thinner and lighter profile. Leaked images of Nokia Lumia Catwalk suggest that it will be fashioned out of aluminium. It was also rumored that Nokia will release Catwalk on 15th May.

An unverified source claims that the months of May and August will be exciting for Windows Phone fans as a number of manufacturers will be releasing new device. The Nokia EOS and Catwalk will apparently be released in these months, they would reportedly not have built-in wireless charging though covers will be available for this purpose. Also rumored to release are two versions of HTC Tiara, the Samsung Cronus LTE and Huawei’s Ascend WQ 5. Since this source isn’t known for its authenticity, it is advised that you remain skeptical about this release time frame.
