Olympus OM-D E-M10 Camera Rumored For Announcement Soon

Olympus OM D E M10 Camera Rumored For Announcement SoonEarlier this year we did a review on an Olympus OM-D E-M5 and if the recent rumors are to be believed, there is a good chance that Olympus could be announcing a new OM-D camera in the form of the OM-D E-M10. This is according to a listing by the Indonesian government which shows a registration for a device called the E-M10 by Olympus, so we guess this isn’t so much a rumor but a certainty, although at the moment is unclear as to what sort of camera the E-M10 could be about. Rumored specs include a sensor similar to that of the E-M5, but the E-M10 is expected to have a brand new image processor, but other than that not much else is known about the camera for now.

It has also been speculated that the E-M10 could be unveiled at CES 2014 which is only a couple of weeks away from taking place, so perhaps we will learn more then. Alternatively some have suggested that Olympus might take advantage of the CP+ show which is held not too long after CES to unveil the camera, so that’s a possibility as well. Either way we will be live at CES 2014 ourselves so do check back with us then to see if Olympus has anything in store for us. Until then we will keep our eyes peeled for more information and update you guys accordingly!

Meizu MX4G Rumored To Come In Two Variants

Meizu MX4G Rumored To Come In Two VariantsWe have been hearing rumors that Meizu is planning a successor to its Meizu MX3 smartphone in the form of the Meizu MX4G, a device which looks like it will be getting a 2K display of its own and pack a pixel density of over 500ppi. While it seems that 2K displays on smartphones are starting to become the standard of 2014, new rumors have surfaced suggesting that the Meizu MX4G might come in more than one variant, with the high-end model expected to be known as the Meizu MX4 Pro. So what’s the difference in models, you ask?

Well if the rumors are true, there will be two models: an ultra high-end model, and a high-end model. The ultra high-end model is expected to sport the rumored 2K display, while the high-end model will instead use a Full HD 1080p display which has more or less become the standard of smartphone displays in 2013. The high-end model is also rumored to be powered by MediaTek’s octa-core processor, and we can only assume the same will apply to the ultra high-end model as well.

The rumors are also claiming that one of the models will feature a Lytro-like camera system which allows users to shoot photos first and tweak its focus after. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but we have heard the announcement by Meizu on how they plan to enter the US market and will debut their products at CES 2014.

Alleged 3D Printout Of The HTC One Two Gets Pictured

Alleged 3D Printout Of The HTC One Two Gets PicturedCome 2014, many are expecting HTC to release a follow-up handset to 2013’s HTC One handset. We have heard the rumors which have suggested that the handset could be known as the HTC M8, although recent rumors have suggested otherwise, instead referring to the handset as the HTC One Two which is apparently not a single device, but rather the name of a lineup of new devices from the Taiwanese company. In any case thanks to a newly leaked photo, we might have an idea of what the HTC One’s successor could look like, which is to say it will look exactly the same as the HTC One.

This is based on leaked images of a 3D printout of the handset which is supposedly based on specifications of the HTC One’s successor. For the most part it looks like there isn’t a huge change in terms of design, although its edges do seem a tad rounder. While we can’t tell based on the 3D printout, the handset is also rumored to be keeping the Boomsound speakers on the top and bottom of the handset, providing a stereo sound effect when held horizontally. The device is also rumored to sport a slightly larger display at 5”, a slight upgrade over the HTC One’s 4.7” display.

If anything this 3D printout is similar to what we have seen in the past, but until we get the official word, take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully we will learn more at either CES or MWC 2014, both of which are around the corner.

Alleged LG G3 Specs Include QHD Display And Octa-Core Processor

Alleged LG G3 Specs Include QHD Display And Octa Core ProcessorIt was a few months ago that LG launched the LG G2 which was the South Korean tech company’s flagship smartphone for 2013. It was an impressive handset and it also featured a new design from the company (which some have compared to Samsung’s designs) and also packed a pretty decent camera that could give the Nokia Lumia 1020 a run for its money in terms of low-light photography. That being said, we’re sure many are interested in seeing what the LG G3 could have to offer, but is it too soon to start hearing about LG G3 rumors?

Well make what you will of it, but recent rumors have surfaced regarding the potential specifications of the upcoming handset. For starters it is believed that just like other phones before it, like the Vivo Xplay 3S and the upcoming Oppo Find 7, and the rumor specs of the Samsung Galaxy S5, the LG G3 is rumored to feature a 2560×1440 display, although no word on screen size just yet. Additional specs include an octa-core processor which is rumored to be of LG’s own make, and a 16MP rear-facing camera. No word on when the LG G3 will be launched, but some are speculating it could be earlier than expected in a bid to make up for “disappointing” LG G2 sales.

Take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for more details as they surface. In the meantime what do you guys make of the rumored specs so far? It seems that 2014 could the year of QHD displays!

LG’s Smartwatch Could Be Known As The “G Arch”

LGs Smartwatch Could Be Known As The G ArchWe have heard the rumors that LG is planning on debuting a smartwatch of their own come 2014, and according to the recent rumors, it seems that we can look forward to the device being known as the LG G Arch. On top of that, the recent rumors have also corroborated earlier claims that LG could also be working on a fitness device of sorts which could be known as the LG G Health. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but some are speculating that the devices could debut either at CES 2014 or MWC 2014, but since we will be live at either event, we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for more information and will update you guys accordingly.

Smartwatches have definitely started to rise in popularity, with companies such as Motorola and Sony having released smartwatches of their own, and with Samsung hopping on board the bangwagon as well with their Samsung Galaxy Gear. In fact if the rumors are to be believed, we can look forward to more smartwatches come 2014 as tech giants such as Apple and Google have been rumored to be making an entrance into the smartwatch market with their own offerings as well. Either way it looks like 2014 could be an interesting year for technology and we are definitely looking forward to it!

HTC One Two (One 2) Could Be A Series Of Phones, Not Just A Single Device [Rumor]

HTC One Two (One 2) Could Be A Series Of Phones, Not Just A Single Device [Rumor]We have heard the rumors that HTC is planning on launching a successor to the HTC One of 2013, and if the rumors are to be believed, there is a good chance the handset could be known as the HTC One Two (or HTC One 2, whichever you prefer). However according to recent reports, it has been suggested that the HTC One Two will not be the name of the handset itself, but rather it could be the name of a lineup of HTC devices. Back in 2012 HTC launched the HTC One series of handsets which consisted of the One X, One S, and One V, so we suppose this would not be completely out of the question.

According to the reported which was originated from an analyst from Taipei, Wilson Miao, the handset will allegedly come with separate lenses that have been designed for either low or high lighting conditions. However given that recently leaked photos of the HTC One’s successor does not seem to point to separate lenses, take this one with a grain of salt for now. While a HTC publicist was reported as saying that “it’s kind of too early” to be discussing 2014’s lineup, analysts are expecting its successor to come around March 2014.

The HTC One was announced earlier this year so we would have expected to see a similar timeframe in 2014 as well, but since CES and MWC 2014 are around the corner, perhaps we will learn more there, so check back with us  then for more details.

Minecraft For The Nintendo Wii U Rumored To Be In The Works

Minecraft For The Nintendo Wii U Rumored To Be In The WorksMinecraft was originally released for the PC, but due to its popularity, the game eventually made its way onto platforms like the Xbox 360 and the PS3, and with over 33 million units of the game reportedly sold to date, it looks like the game is a huge success. However there are still platforms left to conquer, such as Nintendo’s Wii U platform, and according to recent rumors, it has been suggested that Minecraft could be making its way onto the Wii U in the future. This is based on an anonymous source who spoke to the folks at NintendoEnthusiast and claimed that Mojang, the developer of the game, had recently received development kits for the Wii U and had already begun developing the game for the console.

The rumors claim that the GamePad would be used as part of the game, and given that the GamePad is what makes the Wii U console unique, we guess this is sort of unsurprising. It is unclear what the GamePad could be used for, but it has been speculated that perhaps it could be used to manage one’s inventory or craft new objects. So far developers haven’t exactly been supportive of Nintendo’s Wii U platform, with big name developers having no plans to launch games for the platform, or in some cases have even been removed certain features that other platforms get access to. With Minecraft expected to make its way onto the Xbox One and PS4 come 2014, adding the Wii U to the list of supported platforms would no doubt expand its reach.

Nikon D4 Upgrade Rumored To Be On The Way

Nikon D4 Upgrade Rumored To Be On The WayThe Nikon D4 was released last year and it seems that we might be able to expect an upgrade for the camera in the near future. According to reports, it seems that Nikon Professional Services in Japan has stopped selling the Nikon D4 through their equipment exchange program, which has led some to speculate that Nikon could be looking to release an upgrade of the Nikon D4. This combined with other rumors certainly does suggest that Nikon could be looking to introduce new products come 2014, and with CES 2014 and CP+ around the corner, perhaps we might learn more then.

According to the rumors, then Nikon D4’s upgrade is said to be called the D4s or the D4x, or something similar to that. Production is rumored to be underway already. Nikon had also reportedly put a halt of Df production for a couple of months to ensure that they would be able to push the new D4 camera out before the Olympics, which could explain why Nikon had recently announced a shortage of Df cameras. In any case the specifications of the D4’s upgrade is unknown, but like we said, with CES and CP+ around the corner, hopefully Nikon will announce something then, so check back with us later for the details.
