Cupertino’s set-top box, the Apple TV, has received quite a lot of new content partners this year. Apple isn’t done adding new partners, Apple TV has now received a couple of new apps from content partners. There’s a Watch ABC app through which users can stream content from local ABC affiliates. KOR TV is a Korean language channel which can be streamed through the set-top box now. Crackle app brings movies and TV. The biggest addition is that of a Bloomberg app, through which users will be able to keep themselves up to date with the news 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Bloomberg has actually become the first channel to add 24 hour news stream to the Apple TV. Content accessible through the app is similar to what users can find on Bloomberg TV’s website as well as its mobile applications. There’s on-demand content with clips and full shows, special live stream for breaking news and various events as well as a continuous live stream of news. The Bloomberg Apple TV app is going to be updated in the coming weeks, and the playlist feature already available in its iOS app will be added to the set-top box as well. It will let users create playlists and resume watching from the point where they left off on another device. Notifications feature is being worked on at this point in time, users will be able to get alerts for shows and events on the Apple TV.

Time Warner Cable announced they will be adding its TWC TV application to another platform this week, with many speculating it might possibly land on either the Apple TV or Google Chromecast.
