Less than 24 hours after announcing the H9080 wireless headphones, Rapoo’s let it be known that its CES 2013 repertoire also includes a little something for the living room (or bedroom, depending on where you prefer to enjoy your downtime). With its Rapoo TV, the company’s touting the ability to turn any HDTV into one with intelligent features — essentially, though, it is a wireless receiver that allows iOS and Android devices to connect to it, allowing them to mirror mostly any content on the bigger screen. Of course, there might be some better options for iOS users (and Android soon, we imagine) in the market already, but the company’s still hoping some folks may have room for yet another set-top-like unit in their home. The company says the Rapoo TV will be available sometime in Q1 of this year, however there’s no word on pricing just yet.

TVs and robotic vacuums aren’t the only Smart-branded devices Samsung will be showing off at this year’s CES. We just met with the company here in NYC to take a look at its newest entrant into the camera game, dubbed the NX300. No, it’s not Android-equipped, but this 20.3-megapixel APS-C shooter stands as its new flagship mirrorless model, boasting a key gimmick feature of 3D capability for stills and videos (up to 1080p at 60fps) thanks to a new DRIMe IV processor.

Getting the usual numbers aside, you’ll be able to harness an ISO range of 100 to 25600, a maximum shutter speed of 1,6000 and a top speed of 8.6fps for JPG bursts. On back, you’ll find a 3.31-inch, 768 dot AMOLED touch-display, and a d-pad-esque section with five buttons for manual control. Lastly, there’s a dedicated mode dial on the top, along with a full-size hot shoe mount. This shooter is also WiFi-enabled like previous cameras in the range, allowing you to share content wirelessly and giving you access to apps, like a remote viewfinder that works with iOS and Android devices.

Having a new NX that can handle 3D naturally calls for a lens that can shoot it, and a 2D/3D-capable f/1.8 45mm lens was also shown to us — a “world-first,” according to Sammy. While you won’t be able to shoot in 3D with older NX cameras (we’re told they don’t have the processing power), it’ll still work as regular 2D lens if you’re interested in its focal perspective. These days it seems like Rhapsody has jumped across more platforms than the Super Mario Bros. The music streaming service is readying itself to make yet another big push in the form of Smart TVs, bringing its app to sets made by LG, Panasonic and Samsung. According to the company, this version was tweaked to bring a “visually rich” UI for big displays and quick playback. Also on board are radio stations, curated playlists and recommendations. It’ll be arriving in the “coming months,” along with an Xbox Live launch that’s due out before year’s end.

Auto show concept cars are all whizzy styling and impractical interiors, and Smart’s latest offering, the Forstars EV at the Paris Auto Show, has all that in spades. But the stubby car has another show-stopping feature we’d love to see in production — a projector installed right into the vehicle’s grill. That would let you and a special friend pull the two-seater up to any white wall and beam the flick of your choice from an iPhone’s bluetooth port, while blasting the audio through the sound system. Other friends not in the Forstars’ confines would also get the sound from speakers located in the ventilation grills behind the doors. Once rolling, the concept Smart moves along with an 80 horsepower electric motor and 17.6 kWh battery, boasting 127 lb/ft of torque and an 80MPH top speed. Since the car’s currently a one-off, don’t get any ideas about heading to Lookout Point with a screen in tow — but you can head to the video after the break to see how it works.

While you can take plenty of notes with laptops and tablets, it’s still convenient to be able to note stuff down in a notebook with a pen. If you’ve ever wanted to easily digitize everything that you jot down, take a look at the Evernote Moleskine Smart Notebook. It’s been designed so that you can easily transfer it to your smartphone.

The Evernote Moleskine Smart Notebook works in tandem with the Evernote app and it allows you, once you’ve snapped a photo of your notes, to quickly digitize them. This means that the text and notes can be searched through easily. The paper is specially formatted for use with the app to ensure the best quality scans, and you can tag pages and passages with Smart Stickers and arrows. It’s definitely an interesting way to minimize your footprint, if you don’t want to lug your laptop to class when taking notes (or doodling.)

While it won’t replace your computer or tablet it should allow you to be more effective with your notetaking. It’s available for pre-order from Evernote for $24.95.
