Despite the fact that the latest iteration of Google’s mobile platform is Android 4.4, there are still a lot of devices out there that are yet to be updated to even Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. OEMs and carriers usually take a lot of time to release these updates, primarily because there are a lot of steps involved before an update is deemed fit enough for public release. Today, the Sony Xperia SP Android 4.3 update has finally been rolled out, a pre-release build of this very update for this very smartphone was leaked last month.

    With Mobile World Congress 2014 only a couple of weeks away, there is a lot of anticipation about the new devices that are set to be unveiled at the event. Many companies have already sent out press invites for their events, and it appears that Sony too has done the same. Apparently the Sony MWC 2014 event has been scheduled on the very same day that Samsung is going to unveil Galaxy S5 on, February 24th, it also happens to be the day MWC 2014 kicks off in Barcelona.

    Sony PS Vita Model Confirmed For US Release

    If you happen to own a Sony PS Vita, then you might be pleased as punch to hear this bit of news – the brand new PS Vita that was revealed over at Tokyo Game Show will finally be making its way over to the great continent of North America. In fact, the new PS Vita Wi-Fi model (PCH-2000 series) will arrive taking the Borderlands 2 Limited Edition PlayStation Vita Bundle route later this spring, where this particular bundle will include the brand new slim PS Vita system. Batman would definitely love this particular Vita model, since it comes in black, and the first-person role-playing shooter hit Borderlands 2 will also be accompanied by half a dozen DLC packs, not to mention an 8GB PS Vita memory card. Well, the upcoming Sony D6503 Sirius has had its fair share of rumors already, where we do find it all set to arrive with a more generous 5.2” IPS display compared to its supposed predecessor, carrying 3GB RAM, has a larger battery and will be powered by the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice.
