New Sony A-mount Cameras Rumored For Q1 2014

New Sony A mount Cameras Rumored For Q1 2014The latest cameras announced by Sony are the Sony A7 and A7R, but if you’re looking for an A-mount camera, Sony Alpha Rumors reports that according to their sources, they have been tipped that Sony will be announcing new full-frame and APS-C A-mount cameras come Q1 2014. At this point not much else is known about these cameras, but apparently the full-frame models could reuse the sensor found on the A7 and A7R, while the APS-C model could utilize an improved 24MP sensor.

These cameras are expected to come with innovative features which seems to be in line with what we heard about how Sony’s new president is looking to release brand new innovative products, as opposed to merely releasing product upgrades. Some innovative features that have been suggested include Z-shift, but other than that it’s really anyone’s guess as to what Sony has up their sleeves! In any case CES 2014 is nearly upon us and that is usually when companies take the opportunity to announce new products and the likes. Will we see Sony’s new cameras announced then? Maybe, maybe not, but either way check back with us then for the details!

Sony Will Add MP3 And DLNA Support For PS4 After Launch

Sony Will Add MP3 And DLNA Support For PS4 After LaunchWhen Sony first announced the PS4 console, not too many people were happy with the fact that the Sony PS4 is unable to support playing audio CDs in its disc player. Apart from that, it would also be unable to support the playback of MP3 files or DLNA streaming media features. Well, we are pleased to announce that a top Sony PlayStation executive has shared that support for all the above mentioned features will eventually make it in the form of a future PS4 software update.

Over a chat via the Giant Bomb podcast, Sony PlayStation Worldwide Studios leader Shuhei Yoshida did share that the company did not really expect the degree of online backlash it received because of the missing features, sharing, “We didn’t really think about MP3 or DLNA. We always thought that we’re going to do that eventually – we’ve been doing it with all the [PlayStation] products. So it caught us off guard.”

Unfortunately, there is no specific timetable as to when the software update will be released. As for Microsoft’s Xbox One, it will already support audio CDs and DLNA right out of the box, whereas MP3 support is limited at the moment to streaming those files from a Windows 8/8.1 PC.
