Sony A7 And A7R Cameras Leaked

Sony A7 And A7R Cameras LeakedIt was not too long ago when we brought you word that Sony’s full frame NEX cameras which are to be released soon were rumored to be known as the Sony A7 as well as the Sony A7R. Well, I guess all of those rumors have proven themselves to be true, as at least a couple of leaked press shots have been caught in the wild, revealing a whole lot more of the full frame mirrorless cameras in the process. These images will give legs to previous rumors by propping them up with confirmation of a built-in viewfinder, in addition to pointing to options of carrying a Zeiss-branded 35mm f/2.8 prime lens that you can see above as well as a 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 standard zoom.

Not all things are extremely rosy, however, as there are no additional photos for us to ogle over from other angles in order to discover more about the Sony A7 and the Sony A7R. Interestingly enough, however, the folks from Sony Alpha Rumors do lay claim that the A7R’s 36-megapixel sensor will be able to omit the standard anti-aliasing filter so that it can preserve detail instead, similar in manner to the Nikon D800E. Sony has been teasing a possible camera launch for tomorrow in Japan, so chances are we will not have to wait for too long for additional (and official!) information to surface.

Sony To Shift Smartphone Focus From U.S. To Japan And Europe

Sony To Shift Smartphone Focus From U.S. To Japan And Europe

The global smartphone market is quite competitive and cutthroat to say the least. Those who don’t evolve get left behind, there are a number of popular examples which substantiate this claim. The U.S. is one of the major markets which manufacturers try to tap extensively but Sony is now taking an entirely different approach to climb from its current position as the seventh largest smartphone manufacturer. Kazuo Hirai, Sony’s CEO, tells Reuters that the company is shifting the focus of its smartphone business from U.S. and China to Japan and Europe, as the latter are “the most important areas for us.”

Its not that Sony will abandon the smartphone market in U.S. and China all together. Hirai says that the company will first put substantial resources in Japan and Europe after which it will “gradually” start in the U.S. Despite the fact that Sony has made a number of impressive smartphones, the Xperia Z and Xperia Z Ultra are fine examples, the reach of these products in the U.S. is quite limited. The company hasn’t opted for a multi-carrier approach in the country, its flagship is exclusive to T-Mobile. Hirai acknowledges that it is “not realistic to try to do everything at once,” so the company will first bolster its efforts in Europe and its home country before moving with a renewed resolve towards the U.S. and Chinese smartphone market.

T-Mobile To Get Sony Xperia Z1

T Mobile To Get Sony Xperia Z1Recently, T-Mobile did make some waves in the news by offering free and unlimited (2G) global data which comes in handy if you are just going to use your smartphone to send and receive emails as well as instant messages on apps, and this time around, the company has also piqued the interest of some by having a Sony Xperia Z1 render spotted with the T-Mobile logo, thanks to serial leaksters @evleaks.

After all, T-Mobile being one of the so-called “Big Four” mobile carriers in the US, ought to carry this flagship waterproof and dustproof device from Sony. We have already given the Sony Xperia Z1 a rather lengthy review just recently, so you might want to check out that particular review of ours before you make a decision as to whether to bring the Xperia Z1 under your fold of smartphones or not. At this point in time, it remains to be seen just when will T-Mobile make an official announcement concerning the exact date as to when the Sony Xperia Z1 will be made available, and neither do we have an inkling of the price detail. Sooner would be better than later, of course, so hopefully the folks at T-Mobile will not disappoint.
