BT to broadcast and stream live NBA games in the UK

New York Knicks v Los Angeles Clippers

BT has landed quite a few major sports broadcasting deals as of late, including its buyout of ESPN’s British and Irish channels back in February. Today, it’s extending its athletic empire with an exclusive arrangement to air NBA games in Ireland and the UK. The agreement will see BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2 and ESPN broadcast as many as seven live games per week, with some of them streaming through BT Sport’s website and mobile apps. While there isn’t a huge market for basketball in the country, the pact will make life much easier for diehard UK fans and American ex-pats — they won’t have to buy online passes or otherwise bend over backwards to keep up with their favorite NBA teams.

Nike LunarENDOR QS Snowboarding Boots – Out of this World

nike-LunarENDOR-snowboard-boots-11

We had snow today and my thoughts turned to the slopes. I love everything about winter, including the snow and cold temperatures. I love skiing and sleigh riding. Every year my husband promises to check out snowboarding. Let’s check out some equipment that can have him at least looking cool on the mountainside…

Welcome Nike’s LunarEndor QS snowboarding boots designed with ultra responsive cushioning, with a special 3-D molded upper providing maximum warmth and a truly ergonomic fit. Nifty, changeable inserts located at the side of the boot actually lets you choose from 3 different support levels, depending on preference or conditions.

To keep the cool-factor alive, the LunarEndor QS boots have a Swoosh trademark that is uniquely illuminated by 30 LED lights and powered by small embedded lithium-ion batteries. The boot’s on/off switch is conveniently located along the boot’s cuff so you can light up the night, or the lodge, whenever you want to.

The Nike LunarENDOR certainly seems to be one of the most technologically advanced snowboard boots available. The addition of Nike’s Lunarlon foam looks to absorb some of the impact encountered on your journey, as well as provide a gentler, more responsive ride, These boots also offer  you superior support in order to help keep your legs and hips more naturally aligned…nice.

The 500 dollar Nike Snowboarding LunarENDOR QS boots will be available mid-December and in very limited quantities at nike.com or local Nike SB retailers, or get the NON special edition boots, minus the light up electronics for around 430 bucks… see you on the slopes.

Nike FuelBand SE review: more social features, much longer battery life

Nike FuelBand SE review: more social features, much longer battery life

Nike’s new FuelBand is now out, and following a few weeks of running in parks, walking around exhibition halls and the occasional all-out exercise session, well, I’m pretty tired. Fortunately, I only needed to charge Nike’s new wearable once in my first eight days of use. Indeed, that’s the main benefit to Nike’s Second Edition (SE) FuelBand: thanks to an energy-efficient Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) radio, it promises much-improved battery life over its predecessor. When it comes to the physical hardware, however, its appearance has barely changed since 2012, save for three new color options (and a highfalutin’ Rose Gold one). Its fitness-tracking capabilities haven’t changed either, although Nike has promised improvements in accuracy and a better ability to sense when you’re attempting to game the FuelBand.

Beneath the matte black surface, however, there’s been more progress: Nike+, the FuelBand’s companion app, is friendlier than ever, with the ability to group your buddies into separate categories. There are also new hourly reminders to stay active throughout the day and a Sessions feature to monitor activity in a set timeframe. More than ever, though, Nike’s finding itself in a crowded wearables market. Though it was one of the early victors, has it done enough to maintain its lead? Grab your water bottle and we’ll walk you through it.%Gallery-slideshow122860%

2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo: Mo Power, Handling and Speed

I’ve always been a fan of factory-modified cars (meaning that all mods are under warranty) – especially when they blow away more expensive, luxury sports cars. I love cars like the Subaru WRX STi and the Nissan GT-R. Naturally, the GT-R is quite a bit pricier, but this new version promises to surpass the performance of million-dollar rides. Are you up for it?

The Nissan GT-R Nismo comes with a tweaked 3.8-liter turbocharged V6 engine that produces 591hp and 481 pound-feet of torque. It will offer a racing suspension, a more rigid body, and improved aerodynamics, allowing it to perform extremely well in most conditions. Its Recaro racing seats come decked out in carbon fiber, and you’ll find Alcantara leather all over the place.

For now, prices haven’t been announced, but rumors say that you’ll pay roughly 50% more than what you’d spend on the standard GT-R. There will be only 200 GT-R Nismos made for the 2015 model year.
