Coming completely out of left field with a release of Star Wars headphones – officially licensed and everything – was 50 Cent and SMS Audio. It’s difficult to describe the … Continue reading
Check out this crazy lamp made from an Ewok village toy and apparently dipped in silver, giving it a mirror finish. I don’t know whether to love it or hate it, but it certainly is shiny.
What Battle Droids and the rest of those figures are doing in an Ewok village, I have no idea, but they didn’t make it out safely before they turned to metal. It’s a one of a kind piece, that’s for sure. It comes from Etsy seller 88MilesPerHour.
And you are not just getting a silver Ewok village either. This thing is a fully functional lamp that will make the village blind you when you turn it on.
It is just $399(USD). Tacky? Or awesome?
If you have been waiting for the perfect set of geeky headphones? It turns out 50 Cent has a pair just for you. SMS Audio has unveiled a cool new line of headphones with Star Wars themes.
The limited-edition Star Wars STREET by 50 On-Ear Wired headphones series has four models: the Stormtrooper, Rebel Alliance, Boba Fett and Imperial.
These headphones come with passive noise cancellation technology, enhanced bass and custom 40mm drivers. They also feature OVALFIT leather memory foam ear cushions, an adjustable headband and a tangle-free, detachable cord. They will cost you $199.95(USD).
50 Cent says, “I’ve been a fan of Star Wars since I was a kid, so working with Lucasfilm to create this line of headphones was a really cool experience. Star Wars has a huge following of dedicated fans and I’m excited to welcome them into the SMS Audio family.”

Israel doesn’t get on too well with its Arab neighbors, and the threat of annihilation by ballistic missile is always present. To defend itself against this potential threat, Israel has built an Iron Dome
Silly me. I’ve been waiting all my life for a Jedi Master to show up and teach me how to build a lightsaber. Turns out all I needed was this infographic from electronics supplier Newark. Well, it will build you a lightsaber replica, not an actual lightsaber, but it is still awesome.
It just takes a few basic tools and pieces of hardware. Before you know it, you will be swinging away in a saber battle. This is a great way for people who are just getting started with projects like this to build something really cool.
Obviously, you can order the electronics you need from Newark. Build it and feel the power of the force!

Disney Princesses x Star Wars
Posted in: Today's ChiliIt’s about time someone made this Disney Princesses and Star Wars mash-up happen. What makes it even more fitting is the fact that Disney actually owns the Star Wars franchise now. If they decided to do a Star Wars Princess edition, then I’m sure they could pretty much make it happen, although they’ll probably annoy a huge legion of fans on both sides of the fence in the process.
DeviantArtistRalph Sevelius ran with this concept in his latest works of art which feature Disney’s princesses dressed in Star Wars- inspired garb. There’s Jedi Ariel, Sith Elsa (pretty fitting, if you ask me), Padawan Rapunzel, and slave princess Jasmine.
My favorite from is the one of Aurora frozen in Carbonite. Given that she’s the Sleeping Beauty and all, well, I think the reference is pretty appropriate.

When getting married with Star Wars rings, you certainly have many choices nowadays, but for my money, nothing beats putting a Rancor on her finger. Maybe some women would prefer a restraining bolt for the groom to always remind him to restrain himself and be faithful too.
These are but a few of sixteen officially-licensed Star Wars ring designs by JAP, a Japanese design firm. They also have Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Ackbar, Jabba the Hutt and more. The Rancor is the best though. Nothing says marriage like being dropped into a pit with a huge ferocious beast.
An Ewok ring might be good too. A reminder that even if your significant other is small, they can still be ferocious and you should always be on guard.

You may or may not know that a new animated Star Wars series is coming called Star Wars Rebels. Along with the new series come a new bad guy called The Inquisitor. Of course, you can be sure some new action figures are coming along with the series.
Hasbro is offering a peek at The Inquisitor action figure, and he looks quite menacing with his double-ended lightsaber. The toy will fit into the Hasbro Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends line. The action figure is 3.75 inches-tall and features five points of articulation.
The toys aren’t set to hit stores until this fall. A number of other action figures are expected to debut when the Toy Fair comes to New York this February. I wonder if these will be affordable action figures or the more expensive sort aimed at collectors.

Did you catch last night’s episode of MythBusters
Crawling inside a dead tauntaun to keep warm. Smashing an AT-ST with logs. Swinging to safety while clutching a princess. The Star Wars series included tons of great scenes that made the realists of the world wonder, "can that really work?" Fortunately, the Mythbusters team is here to put them to the test, tonight at 8PM EST.
