Star Wars Episode IV – VI Character Poster: A Long, Long List

One of the fascinating things about modern epics like, The Lord of the Rings, Naruto or Star Wars is the quantity and diversity of their characters. Illustrator Max Dalton shows us the many faces that appeared in the original Star Wars trilogy with his limited edition poster, simply titled Episode IV – VI:

The 18″ x 24″ poster shows nearly every character in the first Star Wars trilogy, arranged in the order of their appearance. Max also included different versions of the main characters. You’ll see Han Solo and frozen Han Solo, living Obi-Wan and ghost Obi-Wan etc.

Felted Mini Star Wars AT-AT (All Terrain-Adorable Transport)

Is this not the cutest little AT-AT you’ve ever seen? Why, this little guy would never march forward to the Imperial March theme and lay waste to Rebel forces. He just wouldn’t have it in him. All of the other AT-ATs talk about trampling the rebel scum, but this guy just wants to have peace and smell some flowers. Maybe make friends with a Tauntaun or two.

He is an outcast. He’s just not like the rest. And that makes him sad. Now you see why he has his head down. This adorable AT-AT comes from Etsy artist famished and is about 5″ long and 6″ high.

He would look good sitting on your desk or shelf. I mean, he’s gonna look sad no matter what I guess, but he is cute and will look good with your other collectibles and toys. You can grab him up for $85(USD). The seller has only made two in this style so when they are gone, that’s it.

All of the other AT-ATs (and General Veers) used to last and call him names. They wouldn’t let poor felty join in any AT-AT games.

Princess Leia and Han Solo Declare Their Timeless Love with Clocks

When Han and Leia are forced to be away from each other, at least they will know that each of them truly loves the other thanks to this pair of clocks proclaiming that love. Han hangs his in the Millenium Falcon, while Leia hangs hers in whatever diplomatic offices she happens to reside in.

That pair is so cute. After all of these years, they are still saying that classic line to each other – despite one of them being a scoundrel and a scruffy little nerf herder. Only now they use clocks. If you and your mate are like Leia and Han, but forced to be apart, you will want these clocks as a constant reminder.

This pair of clocks comes from Etsy seller Objectindustrialart and will cost you $25.50(USD). Not bad for two clocks that remind you of your special other.

The Hidden Easter Eggs That Link Star Wars and Indiana Jones

The Hidden Easter Eggs That Link Star Wars and Indiana Jones

From a young age I was introduced to what are still two of my favourite movie franchises of all time – Star Wars and Indiana Jones. I suppose it was inevitable, really. With parents who named me after a Doctor Who character, I would expect them to continue being awesome as I grew up.

DIY Star Wars Snowflake Patterns: Use the X-Acto, Luke.

We’ve seen several different Star Wars inspired paper snowflakes surface over the years. Some of them were laser cut and others were apparently done freehand. That meant unless you had a fancy laser cutting set up or were crafty in your own right, you probably weren’t going to make these cool snowflakes yourself. Some new Star Wars snowflakes have surfaced that are made from paper that you can make yourself.

The designs include Boba Fett, Emporer Palpatine, Nien Nunb, and Rancor as well as the AT-AT snowflake, which is my favorite. The good news here is that the designer of the snowflakes, Anthony Herrera, has offered up some patterns that you can print out and cut yourself. Of course, the prospect of all the precision cutting work makes my wrists hurt just thinking about it.

Still, if you have a sharp knife and some time on your hands, you can create your own Star Wars snowflakes with these patterns. Check out the gallery to see several of the available snowflake patterns to choose from.

Star Wars Death Star Grinder: Weapon of Herb Destruction

The Death Star isn’t all about destroying Alderaan. This space station will destroy herbs with the same massive power. It is the ultimate power in the universe and in your kitchen. Etsy seller Pyroteeze makes these so that you can easily and geekily grind up your herbs when cooking (or getting baked).

Each mini Death Star is made from non toxic polymer clay, and antiqued with a light black acrylic paint. The grinder measures about 2.5 inches across, which is a little smaller than a baseball. Both halves are held shut with a magnet that allows it to roll without falling apart. I also has a spot on the bottom that allows it to sit and not roll everywhere.

It will cost you $22(USD) and is totally worth it. After all, not everyone has a Death Star in their kitchen drawer.

Star Wars Rebels revealed: bridging the gap between two trilogies

The Star Wars Rebels art design we were hoping to receive a hint about back in May has arrived, and then some, by way of the New York Comic Con (NYCC). First came an in-film prop: a propaganda poster depicting three Stormtroopers, overlaid with a snippet of the Aurebesh language in a Borg-esque typeface. EDIT […]

Han Solo Carbonite Necklace is Truly Heroic

Jewelry designer Paul Bierker of Paul Michael Jewelry is a busy man. When he’s not designing Boba FettZelda Tri-Force or R2-D2 rings, he’s making pendants that look like Han Solo frozen in carbonite.

han solo carbonite pendant 620x612magnify

This pendant is handmade from sterling silver, and features our favorite scruffy-looking nerf-herder, frozen peacefully in semi-eternal sleep. At least until Boushh shows up. The pendant even has detailed structures on the sides and back to complete the look.

The pendant sells for $110 to $145(USD) over on Etsy, depending on the length of chain you want it on. One minor detail Paul forgot to post is exactly how large it is, but I’m assuming that it’s not too big judging by the size of the loop it’s hanging from.

So if you’re looking for the perfect gift for your very own Princess Leia, grab one of these today.
