Depending on where you stand as a fan of Star Wars, Star Wars Episode I, II and III either destroyed everything you believed in humanity or were never actually real movies to begin with. But what if in an alternate universe (possibly far far away) that trilogy was actually, like, good? I know, hard to imagine. But it’s possible! Belated Media imagined how to make Star Wars: Episode II good and it actually sounds quite fantastic.

Now that Disney owns both Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm (and Star Wars therein), the company has begun taking liberties with its wares, speaking this week with ABC about the possibility of a Star Wars-themed television show. This is hardly unprecedented, as the Marvel Comics television adaptation of the secret organization behind The Avengers hit the […]
This Walnut Looks Like Chewbacca
Posted in: Today's ChiliAs tough as Wookiees are, even they have trouble cracking walnuts. Walnuts are tough. The toughest walnut ever? That would be this Chewbacca walnut, presumably created by midichlorians. Wookiee nuts have been known to rip the arms off of those who try to open them.
That’s right, I said Wookiee nuts and I refuse to make the obvious joke. This happy and cartoony looking Chewbacca was found in Ripplin’s backyard, where he has a huge black walnut tree that channels the force and make prophesy come true.
I just know that if you plant this in the ground, a Wookiee tree will grow. Because I believe in that kind of magic.

We know from the Star Wars prequels that Jedi Knights actually possess some serious acrobatic skills. But we never saw Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan or Anakin pull off moves as impressive as the guys featured here.
I’m duly impressed by the gymnastic and free-running skills of the Jedi Knights in this clip, created by Ronnie Shalvis of Ronnie Street Stunts, along with Jeremy Carpenter and Sinjin Cooper, whose first name actually sounds like a real Jedi Knight. All he has to do is change his last name to something like “Kann.”
Impressive, no. The only thing missing from that clip is the second sun on Tatooine. And a lightsaber battle. Maybe they’ll make a sequel.

Star Wars: The Old Republic Skips On Subscriber Reward Due To “Technical Hurdles”
Posted in: Today's ChiliBioWare’s Star Wars: The Old Republic got off to a pretty good start, but unfortunately over time they started to lose players and eventually dropped the subscription model in favor of going free-to-play. However this seemed a bit unfair to gamers who have been loyally paying for the service and BioWare announced that they would be rewarding their subscribers to show their appreciation for their loyalty to the game. The first wave of rewards were handed out in the form of Cartel Coins, and a second round of rewards was supposed to be given as well, but it looks like that will no longer be happening.
This was confirmed by Eric Musco, the Community Manager of Star Wars: The Old Republic , whose statement revealed that the reason behind the cancellation of the reward was because of technical hurdles in which they will not be able to deliver on their promise. The “tech hurdles” were not specified but either way SWTOR players will not be receiving any rewards in the near future. The good news is that BioWare are looking at other ways in which they can reward their players, although when exactly will this reward be given out remains to be seen.

If you dress up like a Jedi on a day that’s not October 31st (even if it is October 31st, actually), you’re probably going to be branded a geek. Wear that proudly! But if you dress up like a Jedi and do parkour tricks in the freaking desert like bouncing off rocks and double backflips and triple spins all while looking like you’re in a chase sequence for the next Star Wars movie, well, you’re an AWESOME geek that everyone is proud of.
When you’ve grown up with a movie since you were a kid, its characters can seem just as close and familiar to you as your own family. Maybe even more so, since they’re frozen in time. Which is why these early concept images of some of our most iconic cinematic friends are so jarring. That is not the Chewy we’re looking for.
Are you still reeling from the disturbance in the Force when you heard that Disney has purchased Lucasfilm, and with it, word that a seventh film of the Star Wars franchise is in the works? Well, assuming Disney would make a great job out of it, there is hope yet. Still, there is a massive number of Star Wars material to make use of by Disney, be it for games or movies, and the latest bit of news surrounding Star Wars would have something to do with games. Apparently, Disney has already registered a slew of domain names that are related to an upcoming project known as Star Wars: Attack Squadrons.
Who knows, it could very well be a game-and-cartoon movie series tie in, no? The registrations by Disney has more or less covered all possible variations of “Star Wars: Attack Squadrons,” and some of them include StarWarsAttackSquadrons.com, StarWarsAttackSquadrons.org, StarWarsAttackSquadrons.net, SWAttackSquadrons.com, attacksquadron.org, attacksquadrons.com, and attacksquadrons.us among others. Do you prefer it to be a game, movie, or cartoon?

Star Wars R2-D2 Trashcan
Posted in: Today's ChiliAre you thinking along the lines that the Star Wars franchise can never be milked completely dry? After all, what is that saying, a fool is born every minute? The space opera that wowed little kids and adults alike back in 1977 has had its fair share of brickbats in the past (anyone remember The Phantom Menace?), but one thing’s for sure – the Star Wars film collection is set to expand even further after Disney bought over Lucasfilm, and we do know that Star Wars Episode VII is on its way to the silver screen, and hopefully they will not botch this. Since you are a huge fan of all things Star Wars, how about enhancing your home with some Star Wars swag? I am referring to this $129.99 Star Wars R2-D2 Trashcan.
Now most folks would baulk at the idea of forking out that kind of good money for, of all things, a trashcan. Hey, this is no ordinary trash can, since it is an officially licensed Lucasfilm collectible, and it comes in a size which most offices would be more than comfortable with. All you need to do is step on R2-D2′s foot, and his head will flip open to receive whatever trash that you are going to dispose of. Imported from Japan, it is an incredibly detailed replica of R2-D2, but too bad it is unable to emit any beeping sounds for that added bit of realism. This is definitely the trash can you’ve been looking for…
