This past September one of the most sought after "lost" time capsules of the 20th century was finally found. After years of various people searching for the thing, the so-called Steve Jobs capsule was finally unearthed in Aspen by a team of excavators from the National Geographic Channel show Diggers. And now we have video of the discovery.

Back in 2007, Apple unveiled a product that transformed the global smartphone market. It was the first iPhone, announced by the late Steve Jobs himself, which went on to perform marvellously in the global market. Subsequent iPhones built on the success of the first-generation smartphone. That device was iconic, to say that least. Recently a purported pre-production prototype of the first generation iPhone was listed on eBay by a seller based in Australia. The unit ended up being sold for $1,500.

While Jony Ive’s group was secretly working on the iPad, Steve Jobs was telling the public and press that Apple had no intention of releasing a tablet. “Tablets appeal to rich guys with plenty of other PCs and de- vices already,” he said publicly. But Jobs was dissembling. “Steve never lost his desire to do a tablet,” said Phil Schiller. In fact, while Jony’s design team was developing the iPhone, they were also actively working on tablets. Jobs was just waiting for the right time to bring a tablet to market.
