Titanfall For Xbox 360 Will Run At Sub 720p At 30fps [Rumor]So we know that Titanfall is almost like an exclusive for Microsoft’s platforms as the game has only been launched on Windows, the Xbox 360, and the Xbox One (a Mac version is still being considered and is under discussion at the moment).

Now we have seen and reported on a fair amount of coverage regarding the PC and Xbox One version of the game, but oddly enough we haven’t really heard that much about the Xbox 360 version, but why is that? (more…)

Respawn Will Soon Enable Titanfall’s Anti-Cheat System

Respawn Will Soon Enable Titanfalls Anti Cheat SystemTitanfall was launched last week on the PC, Xbox 360, and the Xbox One, but already during its launch the game has encountered its fair share of hiccups. For starters there were some server errors and downtime that made it impossible for gamers to play, and then there was the issue with cheaters/hackers who used aimbots to get ahead in the game.

Naturally such practices are frowned upon everyone in the gaming community, and Respawn has since acknowledged the issue. The good news for Titanfall gamers is that the developer has an anti-cheat system in place that has yet to be enabled. This was revealed when one gamer asked Respawn what they were going to do about it. (more…)

Titanfall Reportedly Helps Boost Xbox One Sales In The UK

Titanfall Reportedly Helps Boost Xbox One Sales In The UKWe know that Microsoft has big plans for Titanfall. The game was launched primarily on Microsoft’s platforms such as Windows, the Xbox 360, and the Xbox One. What this meant is that gamers who want to play the game will either have to play it on their computers or get an Xbox console.

Given that the Xbox 360 is an older console, we’re sure gamers won’t get the Xbox 360 just for the game, and might instead opt for its newer sibling, the Xbox One. In fact according to reports from GfK Chart-Track, it has been found that thanks to the release of Titanfall, Microsoft has seen its sales of Xbox One units in the UK increase by as much as 96%! Believe it or not Respawn and EA have been moving this and one other Titanfall prop all around the world. So far Betty has made appearances at Gamescom, GDC, E3, and a couple of other venues. Both Titans were created to represent the true scale of the mech compared to puny humans and they do that well. They would be amazing to see in person.

The Titans were created by Daniel’s Wood Land, based out of Paso Robles, CA. They are made almost completely out of foam, which is carved using 3D carving machines, then painted and sealed. So they aren’t as hard to move around as you would think. One day soon maybe we have have real mechs this size to crush us and kill us.

So what gives? Why is the PC version of Titanfall so much bigger than that of the Xbox? Well it turns out that the size is due to uncompressed audio files which accounts for a huge chunk of the memory that it is taking up. (more…)
