New Need For Speed Rivals Trailer Appear

Sometime in the middle of last month, we brought you word of a new Need for Speed movie trailer, after the announcement of such a movie being made at the end of September. Well, Electronic Arts (EA) also wants you to be aware that there is also a new Need for Speed Rivals trailer available to the masses, where the video would drop hints on what you can expect from the upcoming game. Among the features and benefits in Need for Speed Rivals would be the in-game companion app, OverWatch, which has been bandied by EA to be “more than just a companion app.”

OverWatch can be summed up as the game’s social network, or a “gaming Facebook”, if you will. You will be able to keep track of your friends who are also involved in Need for Speed Rivals, checking out just what they are doing at that point in time in the game. It will be powered by AutoLog, where the app also paves the way for a different method of interacting with other players, not to mention to gain access to some exclusive content. I guess the face of racing games is slowly but surely changing, Drivatars and all. Do you like the direction where racing games are headed in?

Apple posts its first video trailer on the iOS App Store

    Clumsy Ninja video trailer

Android app shoppers have long had the luxury of watching video trailers on Google Play, but their iOS counterparts have had to be content with static images on the App Store. Apple’s portal just got livelier, though, as MacStories has noticed what may be the first App Store video clip. UK residents who visit the “featured” section of the store now see a trailer for Clumsy Ninja alongside the usual promo graphics and app icons. This isn’t necessarily a sign of things to come — other regions don’t see the trailer just yet, and it’s not present within Clumsy Ninja‘s app page. With that said, we won’t be shocked if App Store sizzle reels become commonplace.

Dead Rising 3 Launch Trailer Is Chock Full Of Zombies

It does seem as though our society is unable to get enough of the zombie mania. The Walking Dead, in its fourth season already, still draws plenty of viewers every single week. Well, we are pleased to announce that Dead Rising 3’s most recent trailer, where it sports the title “Snowflakes”, unfortunately has very little snow inside, but what is more important, it does come with a fair number of zombies to scare the little bits and pieces out of you. Unfortunately for the masses, the “Snowflakes” trailer does not offer anything new, since it more or less repeats plenty of the similar kind of gameplay that has been presented since the game was first announced, except that this time around, the trailer has snippets of quotations that were pulled from sites out of context from reviewers.

Compare this with Ryse: Son of Rome’s launch trailer which was also recently released, where that featured plenty of gameplay action, including material that can be deemed to be sensitive and potentially disturbing for minors, flying limbs and all. One ought to bear in mind that Dead Rising 3 happens to be one of the Xbox One’s leading exclusive launch titles, so do expect it to arrive alongside the Xbox One this coming November 22nd.

X-MEN: Days of Future Past full trailer sends Wolverine back

The first full trailer for X-MEN: Days of Future Past doesn’t exactly send Wolverine back to the store – he’s not expired, after all – instead it sends him back through time. It does so with such a blatant force that we must assume that the action of sending this fellow Logan back through time […]

Captain America: The Winter Soldier Trailer Debuts

I have some fond memories from my childhood watching the Captain America series in reruns on television during the summer. I will admit though, Captain America is probably my least favorite of the Avengers and I thought the first Captain America movie was a little too cartoonish compared to the quality of other Marvel superhero films. That doesn’t mean I won’t be going to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier when it hits theaters.

A new teaser trailer for the film has been released this week, showing off cast members Robert Redford, Scarlett Johansson, and Samuel L. Jackson among others. The exact plot for the new movie is still a mystery, but the trailer shows plenty of butt-kicking along with a villain who can catch Captain America’s shield in-flight. Apparently, at some point in the film, Captain America and Black Widow exchange a kiss too.

The movie is set to hit theaters on April 4, 2014. That is assuming it’s not delayed for one reason or another. It’s being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, whose primary experience is in directing TV series, including Arrested Development and Community. Hope they know what they’re doing with a big Marvel SFX blockbuster.

Also, am I the only one that finds Captain America a bit boring compared to the other Avengers?

Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer sets fire to the future

The first full-length trailer for Captain America 2 has been released, and inside you’ll find no shares of the past. While “The Winter Soldier” was at first – for a very short while – suggested to be covering the World War II-era Steve Rogers, we’re set here in the not-to-distant future with mutants, S.H.I.E.L.D., and […]

Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Teaser Shows Every Doc to Ever Wield the Sonic Screwdriver

If you’re a fan of the BBC science-fiction series Doctor Who you probably know that the series has been on the air for 50 years. That’s a long time for any television show to be on the air and I imagine much of the success comes from the premise in the series allowing the actor who plays the Doctor to be replaced on a whim. If viewers find the current Doctor boring, you simply kill him off and replace him.

I mentioned not long ago that the BBC had found some very early episodes from the franchise that were believed to have been lost and planned to show those episodes again. While we wait for those episodes, BBC will be airing a special 75 min. long episode called The Day of the Doctor to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the show. That episode is set to air on November 23 and in anticipation the BBC has released a teaser trailer.

Before you get too excited, you need to be aware that the teaser trailer has no footage at all from the special anniversary episode. Rather, the teaser shows every actor that has ever played Doctor Who all the way back to the beginning of the series. The trailer is also the first time that original Timelord William Hartnell has ever been seen in high-definition and color.

Oldboy remake trailer received with applause at NYCC 2013

A trailer for Spike Lee’s upcoming remake of 2003′s Korean mystery thriller Oldboy was received with applause and cheers by attendees of this year’s New York Comic Con. The trailer and reception might very well waylay any remaining fears the remake will be unworthy of the original. “All of us involved were very much inclined […]
