ASUS Zenbook UX303LN To Launch Later This Year

ASUS Zenbook UX303LN To Launch Later This YearWord has it that ASUS has plans to roll out their Zenbook UX303LN later this year, where this high end Ultrabook will boast of an Intel Haswell processor, NVIDIA graphics, in addition to a stunning 13” display that sports a whopping 3,200 x 1,800 pixels. Yes, you read that right – the amount of pixels on the screen itself is eye popping to say the least.

Still, it is not the high resolution display that ought to capture your attention in terms of the Zenbook UX303LN being the only standout feature, as there are other components underneath the hood that ought to catch your attention as well. For starters, how does having 12GB of RAM to keep your Zenbook UX303LN running sound to you?

In addition, one will also be able to perform various tasks on the road without breaking a sweat thanks to an Intel Core i7-4501U Haswell processor, the NVIDIA GT 840M graphics chipset, a 256GB solid state drive, a trio of USB ports, HDMI connectivity, an SD memory card reader, a mini DisplayPort, and a backlit keyboard, all of it crammed into a chassis that tips the scales at 3.2 pounds. Initial research has shown that the ASUS Zenbook UX303LN will retail north of $1,200, but until ASUS reveals an official recommended retail price, it would be best not to speculate.

Toshiba Dynabook KIRA V634 Boasts Of 22 Hour Battery Life

Toshiba Dynabook KIRA V634 Boasts Of 22 Hour Battery LifeWhen the MacBook Air from Apple was first introduced to the world, just about everyone was more than impressed with it. In fact, the extreme thin profile coupled with exceptional battery life (back then) did get Windows-powered notebook users asking just when will they be able to enjoy something like that? Good to know that the Ultrabook scene has grown since then, coming up with some decent designs to date. Toshiba’s latest foray into the Ultrabook market has resulted in this latest Kirabook which has been rated to feature up to 22 hours of battery life on a single charge, now how about that?

Of course, one would need to see just what kind of pace has the Kirabook V654 been put through before it could achieve that phenomenal battery life rating. I am quite sure that Intel’s new Haswell chips has something to do with it. The new KIRA V654 will feature a 13” display at 1,366 x 768 resolution, tipping the scales at 1.12kg. There is also a high-resolution model just in case you need to work with higher resolutions on the go, all of it running on Windows 8 as the operating system of choice. Expect the KIRA V654 to hit Japan this November 20th from approximately $1,446 onward.
