Samsung flaunts its My Magazine Flipboard-style homescreen for the Galaxy Note 3
Posted in: Today's ChiliIn the midst of its numerous Unpacked Episode 2 unveilings, Samsung’s just given us a peek at a new piece of the Galaxy Note 3 puzzle: My Magazine. At a glance, it looks like a mashup between Flipboard’s curated magazine app and HTC’s Blinkfeed-infused homescreen. That’s not surprising given Samsung’s recent collaboration with Flipboard, and there are similarities with that app, like different panels for news feeds and deep social integration. Watch Samsung’s UNPACKED 2013 Galaxy Gear And Galaxy Note 3 Event Live Right Here At 1PM ET
Posted in: Today's ChiliSamsung’s hosting an event in Berlin today at 1 PM ET / 7PM CET / 10 AM PT at which it will debut its Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch, the new Galaxy Note 3 smartphone, and a potential bevy of other things covered by the phrase “next-generation products.” The cats are somewhat out of the bag already, thanks to especially vocal Samsung executives crowing about the news, but if the last Samsung UNPACKED event in NYC is any indication, we’ll all be in for an entertaining show regardless of what’s announced.

Judging from the rows and rows of Samsung flag lining the outside the Messe Berlin, the company’s planning another big show for this year’s IFA. This time last year, the company took the wraps off of its industry-shaping Galaxy Note, and if all goes according to plan, there’s seems a fairly significant chance that 2012 will see a sequel. And, knowing Samsung, that’s not all we’re in store for today. Hold on tight and join us after the break.
