V-MODA announces XS cans that deliver fashion and performance in a single package

V-MODA-XS-CoverIt is a pity if hardware manufacturers were to introduce their devices to the masses by concentrating solely on function instead of paying an equal amount of attention to form. Thankfully, the folks over at V-MODA do not think along these lines, and their latest XS headphones are touted to deliver both fashion and performance in a single package. This reflects V-MODA’s commitment to fashion-forward wearable technology, where it merges professional-grade quality and a personalized style.

One must say that the angles and sleek headband design found on the XS “mind the gap” as it minimizes the unsightly space that normally appears between the headband and your head. The end result? We are looking at not only a superior fit, but also added comfort, grander sound and a compact profile. It has taken more than 5 years of R&D to arrive at this particular design which should see it pass through any wind-tunnel tests with flying colors, too.

With the XS headphones from V-MODA, you are able to enjoy long listening sessions in comfort, thanks to supple memory foam cushions which will naturally adapt to your ears for faster “burn-in” and better noise isolation. The XS model happens to be one of the smallest in its category, and this is also due to its patent-pending CliqFold Hinge which will precisely fold the headphones into an impossibly small exoskeleton case. The headphones and case are so tiny that many users in focus groups after giving it a go, decided to ditch their usual in-ear headphones.

Features include patent pending 40mm Dual-Diaphragm Drivers without the need for any batteries or artificial sound processing, Dual Inputs and SharePlay with V-CORK seals (patent-pending), a Kevlar-reinforced universal SpeakEasy microphone cable for Apple iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows devices, as well as a 2-year premier warranty, lifetime 50% immortal life program and V-MODA Six Star Service. You can choose from Matte Black Metal or White Silver colors at $212 a pop.

V-Moda Metallo Case Throws in Guitar Pick for Musicians on the Go

Gadget cases come in a variety of different shapes and colors, and there are more and more minimal cases that help users make a fashion statement, as well as protecting their fancy phones. Some may even come with some odd accessories, like guitar picks!

v moda metallo iphone case

The slim profile V-Moda Metallo case will protect your precious iPhone 5 from scratches, and it’s machined from a single block of metal. There’s a back plate that needs to be attached with an Allen wrench that’s included in the package. Apparently, when you tighten the case, it makes a sound like loading a gun, and, it’s supposed to make a sound reminiscent of a sword being unsheathed when you remove your phone. Needless to say, I’m all for fancy sounds.

Oh, and there’s also a guitar pick so that musicians will be able to play guitar whenever they want, though it’s not clear if there’s a way to actually stash the pick inside the case, if it’s used in the assembly of the case, or if it’s just a silly item to throw in the package.

The Metallo case costs $101(USD) and is available through V-Moda’s store. There are four colors to choose from.

V-Moda delivers Metallo smartphone case

I am quite sure that many of us have heard the name of V-Moda before, and this time around, they have unveiled yet another smartphone case for the masses, although it will concentrate more on the high end models. I am referring to the new Metallo designer cases from V-Moda that will cater for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5, where each Metallo case’s main reason of existence is to defend your smartphone without compromising on style, while offering a perfect balance of solid tactile feel and lightweight portability. Sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?

The V-Moda Metallo was specially designed as a standalone case, but it also has a “hidden power” so to speak, that is, to work in parallel with V-Moda’s recently announced VAMP VERZA mobile Hi-Fi amplifier, DAC, and battery charger. This definitely helps make life easier for those who want to build a collection of accessories around a single brand, not to mention having the brand’s design DNA infused in each of these individual accessories for a more uniform look. The V-Moda Metallo will come with interchangeable back plates to deliver maximum versatility, and will include a solid aluminum plate and the Verzadock that will bolt itself onto VAMP VERZA’s 4-bolt main design, allowing you to slide and lock the smartphone to this portable audio powerhouse.

Just like many of the newer devices and accessories these days, the Metallo too, has been forged from the fires of Mount Doom itself – nay, I jest, but rather, from a single aluminum metal block that is machine milled and laser-cut via a state-of-the-art, precise design process which requires a full hour to complete each case. Got to love the unique V-ANGLE design as well as tactile audio feedback of switching back plates that sounds as though you are unsheathing a sword. Sharp! The asking price for the Metallo for the Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 would be $101, where it will arrive in Red Coral, Silver Snake, Orange Serpente and Black Mamba designs.

V-Moda’s Metallo iPhone Case Comes With A Guitar Pick

V Modas Metallo iPhone Case Comes With A Guitar PickCases for the iPhone come in a variety of shapes and sizes, ranging from the bulky designed to protect your phone from anything ranging from a drop to the ground, to being rolled over by a car. Then there are the minimalist cases which might be more of a fashion statement than anything. In any case if you’re in the market for the latter type of case, V-Moda has the Metallo case which you might be interested in. As you can see in the image above, the Metallo case is definitely not of the former category, but at the same time we expect it will help protect your phone from scratches, although it will most likely mar the surface of the case in return.

According to V-Moda, the case has been machined from a single metal block and comes with a back plate that needs to be attached through the use of an Allen wrench (included in the packaging). An interesting feature which V-Moda seems to be advertising, is how when you slide your iPhone in/out of the case, it sounds like a sword being unsheathed, and “locking and loading a gun when installed” Apart from that, V-Moda has also decided to throw a guitar pick into the mix, perhaps to add value to the Metallo case which costs $101 to begin with. If anything the case looks pretty good, the gimmicky features aside.
