This week the folks at Google have introduced a total of 18 new features to the Google+ social network, including a new “Auto Awesome” feature for movies. This feature takes the same feature that’d been introduced for Google+ photos and applies it – in a unique movie way – to movies uploaded to Google+. This […]
Flying R/C Quadcopter Ghost Will Scare the Bejeezus out of Trick-or-Treaters
Posted in: Today's ChiliThe flying R/C quadcopter ghost made by Alton Porter is so awesome that it’s almost cruel to the people who might come across it this Halloween. It was built with the intention of freaking out trick-or-treaters, which I’m sure it will be able to do.
Alton’s robotic ghost has glowing eyes embedded into it for that extra creepy factor. Imagine the sheer terror of trick-or-treaters when they notice this thing hovering towards them after pressing Alton’s doorbell.
If you have a quadcopter of your own, then you might want to take a cue from Alton and dress yours up in ghostly garb, too, so you can hand out your own scares when the trick-or-treaters come a-knocking.

Behind the veneer of bearded hipsters that floods the world of high-end coffee lies an intricate field of science, gadgetry, and taste requiring years of experience to master. Counter Culture is at the forefront of coffee education, and their new NYC training center is the apex of techniques and technology.
We’ve made a lot of videos over the years—sometimes absurd, sometimes insightful, sometimes just to embarrass and torment our staff. For the productions we work extra hard on, the ones that probe the depths of tech & design, we are introducing a new moniker.
There’s nothing like a good Star Wars scene you’ve never seen before to start your week off right. What we’re seeing here is the purchase of a massively expensive LaserDisc-format Return of the Jedi complete with a collection of behind-the-scenes video clips so rare that @THX found them amazing to behold. This is the collection […]
Betrand Russell once wrote that "[m]athematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty — a beauty cold and austere, without the gorgeous trappings of painting or music." In this video, Yann Pineill and Nicolas Lefaucheux prove him right.
RickRolling in Klingon
Posted in: Today's ChiliToday, I RickRoll’d myself. Not that I duped myself into watching the video or anything, since you can’t really trick yourself into doing something, you know?
But as I resized the preview image for the parody video and saved the link, my brain automatically began to sing the first few lines of Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up.
Not the same version as the one in this parody though, because this one’s done up in Klingon. So if you’ve ever wanted to RickRoll somebody or get back at someone who did, then now’s your chance to do so in the most unusual way possible.
Go on. I know you want to do it to your Trekkie pals. Just text them the video link and tell them it’s a preview for the next Star Trek movie.

The horrible question everyone should never have to ask themselves: what if? What if you studied a little more? What if you worked a little harder? What if you exercised and tried to be more healthy? What if you actually asked that person out on a date? What if you took a vacation? What if you never stayed up late at night and masturbated to Carmen Electra?
