Roku has unveiled a new version of the Streaming Stick that we talked about back in January of 2012. When the original launched a couple years ago, you needed a HDMI port that was MHL enabled. This greatly limited its popularity. The new version is redesigned and appears to work in any HDMI port and is simply called the Roku Streaming Stick (HDMI Version).
While MHL TVs can provide power via their HDMI connector, most sets don’t offer this. The HDMI version has a microUSB port on it, so it can be powered via the included AC adapter, or if you’re fortunate enough to have a TV that puts out enough voltage via its USB ports, you can plug it into one of those.
Aimed squarely at Google’s popular Chromecast, Roku’s new Streaming Stick supports over 1200 channels and gives you all the streaming content from Netflix, Blockbuster, and others that you could want (assuming you subscribe to those services, naturally). The device supports content at resolutions up to 1080p and ships with a new remote, which uses RF signals so you can use it without aiming at the TV.
Roku says that the new compact Streaming Stick is ideal for TVs that are wall mounted. You can pre-order the device in the U.S. now for $49.99(USD) for April delivery.

Six Pac-Men: Wakka^18
Posted in: Today's ChiliSo what happens when six people play Pac-Man simultaneously on a huge maze? Sounds like fun. Now combine that with a concert, and you get this crazy piece of interactive performance art.
Six Pac-Men is a crazy bit of multimedia art created by Tacit Group, which mashes up a performance of Steve Reich’s 1973 modern classical music piece Six Pianos with a very special game of Pac-Man. Here’s how it works:
Performers need to collect items provided, by steering each given packman. One level is complete once six performers collect all the items, thereby going to the next measure of the piece. In some levels (or measures) appears a ghost that disturbs the performer. Performers can finish the game by playing all measures. This shows a significant feature of Tacit Group that has been applying games like Tetris and puzzles to pieces of art.
You can check out the entire performance in the video below. It starts out a little slow, but gets going around the 1:25 mark. Be sure to blow it up to full screen HD if you can.
Mesmerizing, isn’t it? And if you’re wondering about that Tetris performance they were talking about…

Scandinavians are great with languages, but Finn-Swede smoccahontas isn’t speaking any language in this video, even while it sounds like it. She’s just making up most of the words and make it sound like she is. Having travelled through almost all of these countries, I’ve to admit that she really nails it.
This video, shot and made by Scott Gold, plays like a dream. It depicts Scott and his wife’s trip to Japan in January but to me, it shows how Japan is maintaining its illustrious history and mystical culture amidst the fast paced, beep beep, every person cross the intersection right now modern world.
Ever since Jean-Claude Van Damme performed that epic split in a Volvo commercial, much has been said and done about it. Heck, even the amazing and unconquerable Chuck Norris himself has been caught performing an epic split on two jets. Well, a new parody sees the martial arts legend Jean-Claude Van Damme perform such a split in space. Thankfully, everything in the parody went on as well as it could, otherwise a split that goes awry would be silent, since in space, no one can hear you scream. Sorry, I could not resist throwing in that line, movie actor and all.
