Whatever, I’m Late Anyway Wrist Watch: Time to Be Apathetic

Do you find that you are always late, no matter what the occasion? If so, then this watch is for you. The numbers are all jumbled near the bottom. Why? Because it doesn’t really matter.

What do you care what time it is anyway? You are already late. And checking that watch isn’t going to make you any closer to being on time. This watch has attitude. Attitude that might get you fired, but still. When you are late, you are late. It’s too late for regrets.

To this watch, I say, “whatever, I don’t wear a watch.” But if you still want one, head on over to Fizzm, where you can pick one up for $95(USD).

LG G Watch To Arrive In A Shade Of Gold

LG G Watch To Arrive In A Shade Of Gold“Going gold” is a term that has been used in the past to indicate how a particular piece of software, or game, is ready to be shipped to the masses after being prepped for release. Well, it seems that releasing hardware in this particular shade, too, is something that companies see as worth the effort, considering how folks tend to flock to gold-plated or gold colored devices like a moth to a flame. The LG G Watch looks set to be the latest piece of technology that will feature a shade of champagne gold, being one of the first members in the Android Wear club.

To date, however, it remains to be seen just exactly when will the LG G Watch roll out to the masses, apart from the “summer” timeline that everyone and their aunt knows. As for its pricing details, so far the unofficial figure that has been bandied around would hover at the $300 mark, which is pretty expensive actually when you consider how there are other timepieces out there which will cost a whole lot less. Of course, these would basically just tell the time and nothing more, but then again, the smartwatch market is largely untested until now.

Nike FuelBand About to Be Nixed?

Over the last few days, there have been reports indicating that Nike’s Digital Sports Division had laid off most of its staff. The division is responsible for the FuelBand, which seemed to be doing quite well, but in fact, apparently hasn’t really taken off.

Nike has reassured customers that the FuelBand won’t go away, and that they will continue supporting it, though that might be tricky without its development staff. The revelation makes me wonder if the staff might be picked up by Apple to work on a potential “iWatch” system, or if Nike has entered some sort of strategic partnership with Apple which prevents them from making a competitive device.

It’s certainly possible this is a move by Nike to get out of the wearable electronics game, and let Apple take over, especially since Apple CEO Tim Cook sits on the Nike Board of Directors. While there are plenty of smartwatches available, from Samsung to Sony, none of them are close to perfect, and many consumers have waited to jump into the game until the see what Apple has up its sleeve.

Bradley Timepiece Specially Designed For The Blind

Bradley Timepiece Specially Designed For The BlindIt is not as though the blind or visually impaired do not have a way to tell the time, it is just that watches for them are few and far in between. Well, the Bradley Timepiece happens to be an exception to the rule, where this watch was specially designed for blind people, and it has been named after a Paralympian gold medallist who lost his ability to see in Afghanistan. The thing about the Bradley Timepiece is this – it happens to be purchased mainly by sighted people instead.

Just how does the Bradley Timepiece actually work? For starters, this timepiece would arrive with a stark, circular titanium face, and there are no hands whatsoever for you to view. Numbers too, are unsurprisingly, missing from the face of the timepiece. What it does have, however, would be a groove that is located in the center where a ball-bearing rotates in order to mark the exact minute. Around the edge of the watch would be another ball bearing that will rotate so that you know what hour it is.

The Bradley Timepiece was designed by Hyungsoo Kim who received the inspiration to come up with the watch when he was in a lecture hall at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in September 2011, as a visually impaired neighboring student asked him for the time. Don’t you just love stories with humble beginnings?
