Holy Batarang Boomerang, Batman!

Victor Poulin makes all kinds of cool boomerangs. Even the glaive from Krull. He recently made this sweet Batman batarang, which works really nicely and comes back to the thrower. I just wish I could see the Joker get hit upside the head with this thing. Crazy freak!

In the video below, Poulin shows off the batarang like a pro. This thing measures 25.25 inches across even though it doesn’t look that big. He throws it and it returns to him every time. It’s a bit big for a utility belt, but it works like a champ.

It’s made of wood, so it is probably nice and light – and not as deadly as it looks. Poulin is a true boomerang master. Check out this other video of him playing basketball and starting fires with a boomerang. Great stuff.

DIY Stun Glove: You Got the Touch! You Got the Power!

A couple of years ago we saw a pair of taser gloves made with everyday items. But both gloves had to be in contact with the target in order for them to deliver a shock. GreekGadgetGuru’s stun glove lets you ward off attackers with just one hand.

stun glove by greek gadget guru 620x346magnify

The metal spikes on the glove are wired to the stun gun on his wrist. GreekGadgetGuru made it so that the polarity of the fingers are alternating. This means he only has to touch something – or someone – with two adjacent fingers for the current to flow. He also incorporated what appears to be a flex sensor into the glove’s switch, enabling him to toggle the flow of electricity just by flexing his hand.

Send GreekGadgetGuru a message on Facebook if you want to know how he made the stun glove. Then send a message to all the jerks who – nope. Just kidding. Breathe. Easy.

Go Green, Rambo-Style: Shoot Up Your Neighborhood with Some Flower Shells

These special shotgun shells take the green revolution to the next level. If planting stuff the traditional way is too boring for you, then you might want to shoot up gardens instead with Flower Shells as your ammo. You could also pack a couple of seed bombs that you can toss when you’re out of shells.

Flower Shellsmagnify

The Flower Shells were thought up by developer Per Cromwell of Studio Total. Unlike Flower Grenades, Flower Shells actually contain gunpowder so you can blast them as you would blast real bullets with your shotgun. Each shell contains a reduced amount of gunpowder and is filled with flower seeds. Shoot the shells into patches of dirt or grass with it and you’ll see daisies, sunflowers, and meadow flowers blossoming in those spots in a matter of weeks.

The Flower Shells are currently up for funding on Indiegogo, where a pledge of $50(USD) will get you a set of four shells. Shotgun sold separately.

Fan Makes Life-Size Call of Duty Ghosts Weapon Arsenal from LEGO

Some people are really creative with LEGO. Long time CoD fan and YouTuber ZaziNombies is one of those true brick masters. He’s made life-size replicas of almost all of Call of Duty: Ghosts’ weapons out of what else? LEGO bricks.

The final pieces are really nice and they have some nice detail. The hand held pistol here replicates the Russian standard military-issue side arm MP-443 Grach. It doesn’t just look cool, it also has removable parts and actual slide action. You can remove the cartridge, which has a gold LEGO bullet loaded inside, and pop it back in nice and smooth.

It is the last pistol you can unlock in the game’s Extinction mode and the only fully-automatic pistol in the whole game. It looks amazing in LEGO. Zazi has also created LEGO versions of the Honey Badger, ARX-160, Vector CRB, the VKS sniper rifle, and this amazing Chain Saw LMG among others:

Hammer Nunchucks Look Even More Deadly Than Ordinary Nunchucks

Remember the 80s? Kids had a lot of martial arts weapons back then. In fact I’m surprised that so many of us survived. Between the throwing stars, butterfly knives and nunchuks that everyone was messing around with, it’s amazing there wasn’t a giant ninja war.

If you have fond memories of nunchuks, you might want to hang these hammer nunchuks on your wall. I don’t advise actually using them, since you are bound to kill yourself with a hammer to the head though.

They were made by Etsy artist thesmARTaleck and will cost you $300(USD). If you are a contractor/carpenter who wants a piece of wall art befitting of your craft, go ahead and make the purchase. Seriously, just display them. Don’t even think of using them.

Han Solo’s DL-44 Blaster for Sale: Your Chance to Shoot First

Now is your chance to own Han Solo’s actual DL-44 blaster from The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. This classic weapon is currently up for auction on invaluable.com with a starting bid of $200,000(USD). Sadly, it is a non-firing blaster. You’ll have to provide your own special effects.

solo blaster 620x436magnify

This blaster was used in the majority of scenes that feature Han, unlike the heavier version that was used for close-up shots. You would have seen this weapon in scenes like when Darth Vader uses the Force to whip the blaster out of Han’s hand in Empire, and in Jedi when Han wrestles with a Stormtrooper to regain his blaster on Endor.

There are no bids yet, so be like Han and bid first.  It is an awesome weapon from a more uncivilized age. Even beat up, this blaster design is amazing looking and an awesome piece of movie-making history.

Saberforge Double-Bladed Staff: As Popularized by Arthday Aulmay

We’ve already seen Etsy seller Philip Isherwood’s Saberforge Battle Sabers, a series of very original prop weapons. While I’m still researching how he came up with his utterly unique designs, Philip already upped the ante. He’s now making Saberforge Staffs, which have not one but two blades. This changes everything. This guy is a genius. A genius I say!

Philip is well aware that his props are used by people who like to play both heroes and villains, so he again fired up his innovation engine and came up with two distinct designs. The Decimator Staff, shown above, looks unmistakably evil, while the Grand Master Staff, shown below, is for those who (pretend to) fight for good. Philip’s imagination truly knows no bounds.

Seriously though, these seem like durable and beautiful props. Not only do they have aircraft-grade aluminum handles, they also have force- and motion-sensitive sound effects, meaning they play appropriate audio effects when swung and when their blades clash. Speaking of clashing, the staff’s coupler can be removed if you want to dual wield or share a saber with a friend. Each staff comes with two sets of blades, a pair of 36″ blades and a pair of 32″ blades. A 10w dual-color LED on each hilt provides the lighting.
