White Nexus 7 Now Available In 32GB Model In The US, UK And Japan For $269

Nexus7_White_Hero

Google has just released a white version of the Nexus 7 tablet, in white and packing 32GB of storage, available now for $269 on the Google Play Devices store, so long as you’re in the U.S., U.K. or Japan. There’s no LTE version and no 16GB model, unlike with the black Nexus 7, but if you’re looking for a color match tablet for your white Nexus 5 you’re now in luck.

The bezel retains the same black paint scheme, and there’s no change beyond the back panel color job in terms of performance or specs. The Nexus 7 is a fairly capable Android tablet, however, and most likely the best deal available at that particular price point depending on your needs. If you’re looking to grab one, it’s probably a good idea to pull the trigger on that order, quickly, since these are probably going to be in fairly limited supply at launch.

You do have a little more choice, however, as LG has just announced a Google Play edition of the G Pad Android tablet, which has an 8.3-inch screen and costs a bit more at $349.

Ouya’s new all-white console comes with double the storage

With the PlayStation 4 now on sale and the Xbox One hitting stores this week, news of Ouya’s latest console refresh comes at a busy time for gamers. With holidays closing in, it’s unveiled a new limited edition all-white case for its Android-powered console, also doubling the system’s internal storage to 16GB to store more games and important media. Ouya has already opened pre-orders with a $129.99 price tag ($30 more than the 8GB model), and if you order before December 8th, you should have it by Christmas. While the white model, with its expanded storage, is only available in North America, all is not lost — Ouya’s latest software update will bring support for USB storage (and many other new features) to older consoles when it arrives later this month.

Dragon Hoodies Look Like No Hoodie (and No Dragon) You’ve Ever Seen

It’s a hoodie. It’s a dragon. It even has a tail, which is detachable via velcro. Anyone who sees you will know that you are a lover of dragons. I can’t decide if it’s cute or not. It is definitely different.

These dragon hoodies will cost you $400 (USD). They come in black or white, presumably to represent good and evil dragons. The light side and dark side as it were. Though the white one is covered with a rainbow of colorful scales.

Do you have the guts to wear one of these every day? Sure, you’ll stand out, but that’s what dragons do right?

LG officially reveals the white Nexus 4, launches May 29th

LG officially reveals the white Nexus 4, launches May 29th

Finally, the Nexus swan arrives. LG has just announced that the white iteration of its Google phone will make its first retail appearance in Hong Kong at the end of May, rolling out across Asia, North America and Europe over “the next several weeks.” As a reminder, the Nexus 4 packs an admirable 320 ppi 4.7-inch HD IPS display, 8-megapixel camera, Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and the very latest version of Google’s mobile OS, which, for the time being, is Android 4.2. No pricing has been formalized yet, though we expect it to match the black original. Interestingly, Hong Kong’s May 29th release date is one day before LG’s Optimus G Pro launch soiree at Macau — practically next door.

LG Nexus 4 shows up in white at Google I/O (hands-on)

LG Nexus 4 shows up in white at Google I/O hands on

A checkerboard-style glitter pattern with a white background? Yes, please. We’ve always been impressed by the elegant look and feel of LG’s Nexus 4, announced alongside Android 4.2 last October, and now Google is making an ivory version of the device available to (hopefully) the masses. The twist: it still hasn’t been officially announced, despite the fact that a conference like I/O would be the perfect time and place to do so. While Google chose not to take advantage of the situation to show the unicorn Nexus to the world, real-life units have been discovered floating around Moscone West. Androidandme‘s Taylor Wimberly happened upon one of them at the show and was gracious enough to give us a brief moment or two with the device.

There isn’t any surprise associated with this particular beaut, as it’s packing the same design and specs as we’ve already seen in the original black model (sorry, LTE hopefuls). The pattern on the back actually doesn’t stand out as much as it does on the black version, as it happens to blend in with the white a little more. We also noticed the same set of tiny nubs on the bottom that mysteriously appeared on the black version a few months ago. Lastly, the white Nexus is rumored to be the first device with Android 4.3 when it officially launches, but this particular version we saw only sports 4.2.1. There’s not much else for us to write about the new color, but let’s face it — you’re here for the pictures, which you can gaze upon below.

Rumors mount for white Nexus 4, may launch with next version of Android

Rumors mount for white Nexus 4, may launch with next version of Android

The white Nexus 4 is stuff that dreams are made of, and the lucky son of a gun at Android and Me, Taylor Wimberly, has one in hand. According to Wimberly’s description, it’ll be a “carbon copy” of the black Nexus 4, with the same specs and hardware wrapped into the sparkly, snow white casing. That’s not the only juicy detail to emerge from Google I/O, however, as Wimberly reports that the smartphone will debut in the Google Play Store on June 10th with Android 4.3. We’re currently unable to confirm the rumor, but a growing number of server logs add to the speculation that Android 4.3 could be around the bend. With less than a month to go, it won’t be long to know whether this one pans out, but you can be sure that we’ll be dreaming of unicorns in the meantime.

Nokia Lumia 928 Render Leaked In White [Rumor]

Nokia Lumia 928 Render Leaked In White [Rumor]Within the past 24 hours, a supposed leak of the Nokia Lumia 928 with Verizon branding hit the Internet. Today, we’re seeing another possible leak of the Nokia Lumia 928, but this time, in white.

The white Nokia Lumia 928 possibly leaked renders looks exactly like the device that was leaked yesterday, but of course the main difference between the two being this one comes in white. We’re pretty sure the specs @evleaks leaked of the Lumia 928 yesterday will be included in this white version, which means you should expect it to have a 4.5-inch OLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Unfortunately for us and those who are interested in seeing as much of the Nokia Lumia 928 as possible, @evleaks has only leaked the back of the device, although we’re sure you can just imagine the previously leaked black Lumia 928′s front side to be completely covered in white. We guess that will have to do for now until there’s either another leak of the white Lumia 928′s front, or when Nokia decides to unveil the device.

BlackBerry Q10 flashes pearly whites in brief debut

Blackberry Q10 flashes pearly whites in brief sortie

A previously unseen BlackBerry Q10 in alluring white made a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it appearance at last night’s BlackBerry 10 Experience event in New York. Crackberry was on hand to snap a few photos before the 3.1-inch, dual-processor toting device went back into the pocket of BlackBerry CMO Frank Boulben. The color certainly lends it a heaping dose of James Bond-esque elegance, to our eyes — as for our other thoughts on the physical-key toting handset, check our recent hands-on.
