Nintendo hasn’t done a lot of bundling of its Wii U in the U.S. as we’ve only seen a ZombiU bundle and the new The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD bundle, which was released just this past weekend. Japan on the other hand has seen quite a few Wii U bundles, with two more added to the list. (more…)
Nintendo fans in Japan have just been offered the motherload of Wii U bundles: two packages that include as many as three games, an extra controller and a subscription to a karaoke service. Both bundles come with either a white or black 32GB console, a matching Wii Remote Plus, 30 days of Nintendo x Joysound Wii Karaoke U service and digital copies of New Super Mario Bros U and Wii Party U. The lower-end package snags all of the above for a cool 32,800 yen (about $332), but an extra 2,000 yen (roughly $20) adds a copy of Wii Fit U and a Fit Meter — although it looks like the requisite balance board will be sold separately. Considering that a standard Wii U Deluxe system now sells for $300, these bundles seem like solid deals. There’s no word if a similar compilation is being prepared for international markets, but at least we have the limited-edition Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HDbundle to comfort us.
If you owned a Nintendo GameCube, odds are you played one of the most popular games available on that system called the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. This games all players playing as a boy from an island whose sister was kidnapped by a massive bird. That boy, Link, commandeered a sailboat and went on a quest to save his dear sister.
Nintendo has announced that it has refreshed that game with high-resolution graphics and new features for the Wii U console. The remastered version of the game has enhancements to make the game better, including Miiverse functionality.
That allows Internet-connected gamers to put notes into Tingle Bottles and toss them into the water where they wash up on shore and show up in another player’s game. The HD version of the game also includes the Swift Sail, which make Link’s sailboat faster.
The game launches today as a digital download in the Nintendo eShop for $49.99(USD). If you don’t like downloading games a packaged version will come for the same price on October 4.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is one title we’re sure many Nintendo Wii U owners have been looking forward to, considering the console’s software library is just starting to gain some notable titles over the past couple of months. Yesterday, Nintendo announced future Wind Waker HD owners won’t have to wait until October 4 to pick up the retail version of the game as those with the hard drive space will be able to download it from the Nintendo eShop starting today. Since it’ll be a couple of hours until you get home from school or work to get your copy of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD downloaded, Nintendo thought they’d tease you a little bit more by releasing a brand-new trailer to celebrate the digital launch of the game.
The new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD highlights the overall story of the game, while also providing all of the visuals in glorious HD. All of the sights and sounds you should be familiar with in any Zelda game are all here as you’ll see Link fighting enemies, making awkward noises as he rolls around and fights Ganon. If you’re not pumped about the release of Wind Waker HD, then we’re sure this trailer will get you there.

Nintendo has announced that it has remastered one of the most popular games in the franchise in HD for the Wii U. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Walker HD is now available […]
One of the most popular titles for the Nintendo Wii has got to be its Wii Sports titles as they allowed players to make full use of the system as they wave around their Wii remote to play a number of sports-related mini-games. Unfortunately, there hasn’t been a Wii Sports title for the Wii U console yet, but Nintendo is announcing they’re bringing all five Wii Sports activities through the Nintendo eShop. (more…)

If you’re an owner of both the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, you’re probably aware both devices don’t sync up to a unified Nintendo ID. This can make syncing up content on both devices a pain in the keister, although there aren’t many games that offer this sort of functionality. Many Wii U and 3DS owners have been wanting unified accounts on both system for quite some time, and Nintendo of America’s Dan Adelman is finally responding to customer feedback. (more…)
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD is set to be released on the Wii U on October 4, and up until this point, all we’ve seen have been screenshots and videos of the HD version of the game without any sort of reference to the original GameCube game. We’ve already seen just how amazing the game looks in all of its HD glory, but just how much of an improvement with Wind Waker HD be over the original GameCube game? Thankfully, someone has finally gone through the trouble of doing just that.
