Xbox One System Update Delayed

It was with great excitement that many a Microsoft Xbox One owner was looking forward to an Xbox One system update today, but it seems as though all of the waiting has resulted in…a whole lot more waiting. Apparently, there was a hiccup that happened at the last moment to cause this particular delay in the system update release. According to Major Nelson in his Twitter feed, the Xbox One system update will ship later this week, so a wee bit more patience is required to ensure that your Xbox One would remain up to date with the latest software version.

With all the graphical firepower that the Xbox One from Microsoft as well as Sony’s PS4 carry under the hood, you would expect it to be able to deliver a whole lot more complex gaming titles that are full of visual effects which will leave you drooling and perhaps, picking your jaw up from the floor afterwards. Do you think that using all of that awesome processing power to pay a visit to a classic game from the past is worth the effort? Team17 thinks so, having announced that Worms Battlegrounds, being the most recent title under the Worms series, is all set to roll out on both the Xbox One as well as PS4 later in 2014.
Most, if not all of the time, patches introduced to software and games are supposed to be a positive thing – you get better performance, bugs are squashed, and everyone is happy. Unfortunately, Murphy’s Law does seem to come into effect from time to time, and this time around, it seems that a patch which has been issued for the Xbox One edition of Call of Duty: Ghosts has caused more problems down the road.
