Xbox One System Update DelayedIt was with great excitement that many a Microsoft Xbox One owner was looking forward to an Xbox One system update today, but it seems as though all of the waiting has resulted in…a whole lot more waiting. Apparently, there was a hiccup that happened at the last moment to cause this particular delay in the system update release. According to Major Nelson in his Twitter feed, the Xbox One system update will ship later this week, so a wee bit more patience is required to ensure that your Xbox One would remain up to date with the latest software version.

    Twitch Crosses One Million Active Monthly Broadcasters
    Twitch is a relatively new startup that lets people broadcast as well as view live streams of video games, and even though it may not be a popular company, it appears to have surpassed the likes of Amazon, Pandora and Hulu in terms of raking in U.S. web traffic. Twitch has announced today that it has crossed the one million monthly active broadcasters milestone, and according to its estimates, Twitch is averaging 13 billion minutes of footage being watched per month.

    Rumors have started circulating once again that Amazon is developing its very own game console, while the company hasn’t given any details on that, it did confirm earlier today that its acquiring the Double Helix Games studio. Double Helix behind popular titles such as Killer Instinct. Even though its developer has now been purchased, Microsoft today confirmed that it plans to continue supporting Killer Instinct, which also happened to be one of the launch titles for its new gaming console, the Xbox One.
