Microsoft Hails Twitch For Increasing Xbox One Usage

Microsoft has said that the Twitch app has “played a big role” in increasing usage of its latest console, the Xbox One. The app was updated with support for Twitch gameplay streaming on March 11th. It was revealed today that since the launch almost 23 million minutes have been broadcasted from Twitch on Xbox One. Microsoft said that 2.7 million minutes were broadcast on the launch day itself, the highest for a Twitch console app on its first day.

    New Xbox One TV Features Coming Soon, SmartGlass Gets An Update

    Microsoft has announced that its going to start previewing some new Xbox One TV features. They will only be rolled out to select Xbox Live members by invite in the U.S., Europe and Canada. The company says that these features have been designed to improve the TV experience on its latest console. They include elements of OneGuide and also add universal remote control to Xbox SmartGlass.
