Killer Instinct On Xbox One Gets A New Developer

The studio behind Xbox One launch title Killer Instinct, Double Helix Games, was acquired last month by Amazon. Microsoft Studios, the publisher, has now brought a new developer onboard to pick up where Double Helix Games left off. Killer Instinct’s new developer is Iron Galaxy Studios of Divekick fame. The developer’s CEO Dave Lang says that this project is probably the “biggest thing we’ve ever done.” It was also behind Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike Online Edition, released back in 2011.

    Xbox One Reputation Notifications Coming Soon

    Xbox Live program manager Micheal Dunn took to the Xbox Wire blog today to elaborate upon the new console’s reputation system. With Xbox One, Microsoft wanted to let players know how their behaviour in the Xbox Live community is seen by other players. The company offered a preview of this system last July and today it has finally revealed more details about it. Players who see their reputations drop due to feedback from the community will start to receive warnings. If they do not heed warnings, they might have to face penalties as well.

    Titanfall And Forza 5 Xbox One Bundles Sees Price CutsIf there was one criticism that gamers had of the Xbox One it was that it was more expensive compared to the Sony PlayStation 4. When both consoles were launched, Sony priced their console at $399 while Microsoft priced the Xbox One at $499, $100 more expensive than Sony which appeared to put them at a disadvantage.

    However it should be noted that the Xbox One comes with the Kinect while the PS4’s price contains the console alone, and if you wanted to add the PlayStation Camera, you’d have to add $60 which would still make it cheaper, or would it? (more…)
