Xbox 360 “Games with Gold” extended indefinitely

Microsoft has extended its Games with Gold program, making the Xbox Live Gold bonus an ongoing perk for members. Now, Microsoft says, […]

Microsoft Extends Games With Gold Program Indefinitely

Microsoft Extends Games With Gold Program IndefinitelyOne of the perks of being an Xbox Live Gold member is that you are able to get access to free games on a monthly basis, with titles such as Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed 2 being some examples. This is part of Microsoft’s Games with Gold program that was launched during E3 2013 earlier this year. It seems that the program was meant to be a limited-time program and was more like a “thank you” for Xbox Live Gold members for their subscription, but the good news is that it looks like Microsoft will be extending the program indefinitely.

According to Microsoft’s blog post, “Within that short period of time, we’ve seen an overwhelming response, with more than 120 million hours played with Games with Gold titles. Today, as a part of the Week of Xbox Live, we’re excited to announce that we are making Games with Gold an ongoing benefit for Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox 360.” Xbox Live Gold subscribers can look forward to two free Xbox 360 titles a month and they will range from blockbuster AAA titles to arcade games, but either way regardless what titles they are, free is still free, right? Who else is pleased by this latest news?
