Make Art, Not War with the Soviet Rumble Tank Camera

At first glance this looks like a giant tank that must be the work of the military industrial complex. Well, it is a camera on some tank treads, but it isn’t tank-sized. It is a one-of-a-kind object called the Soviet Rumble PHU x Z*E*R*O.

It is basically a retro camera with a companion dock. The camera is fully functional Russian FED-5 35mm, and can be undocked to snap photos. As art goes, this is a pretty clever project. It is completely handmade from recycled objects. It makes me wish we had real tanks that looked like this.

Five O Takes The Electric Motorcycle RouteA police officer on a high powered motorcycle is a deadly combination, even more so when the police officer is the T-1000 in disguise. Well, a motorcycle is a whole lot more useful during peak traffic hours, as one can weave through traffic while boasting of quick acceleration to capture those who are on the run. Five-O has introduced another benefit – which would be stealth, thanks to the efforts of Zero Motorcycles.

John Lloyd, Vice President of global sales, said, “After seeing the success the 2012 model had in the field, we decided to expand our 2013 police and security offerings. To have the support of so many different law enforcement agencies and security organizations is an incredible honor.” The most recent law-enforcement models will receive crash bars, the relevant number of lights, a Whelen siren, and of course, a shotgun rack. There will be other options such as hard cases, a detachable windscreen, and a quick-charge kit. Since these are electric motorcycles, they’re quiet, allowing the long arm of the law to be a whole lot more sneaky.

Inbox Pause Keeps Emails Out of Your Inbox

Before I used the Inbox Zero process, I was often interrupted by the vast quantity of emails that anyone in tech receives. That being said, attaining Inbox Zero actually isn’t that easy and if it doesn’t work for you, you should check out Inbox Pause, a handy little browser extension that will push the pause button on your emails.

Inbox Pause is an extension that works with Chrome and that allows you to pause your inbox. This could be useful if you are on vacation and need to resist the urge to check your work email. Also, when you are concentrating on a task at hand that requires your full attention, it’s easy to get distracted if you keep getting notifications of new mail.The extension adds a big blue pause button to Gmail. Once you’ve pressed it, received emails will receive a new label, and they’ll be kept out of your Inbox. You can also set up an auto responder to let everyone know that your email has been paused.

Once you unpause your email, all of the emails are moved into your Inbox – which could, of course, result in a massive deluge of messages if you get a ton of emails. If you’ve got Chrome, you can grab Inbox Pause here.

Zero Motorcycles recalls 2012 models with 'lack of weatherproofing'

If you took Zero Motorcycles up on its offer for 25,000 free miles with the purchase of a bike, you might be turning in those wheels for a fix-up soon. According to Asphalt and Rubber, the electric motorcycle maker is recalling 254 of its 2012 units due to “insufficient weatherproofing.” The affected models are at risk for an electrical short inside the battery management system, which could cause the bikes to cut power during in wet weather. Zero says it will notify owners with faulty motorcycles and repair the bikes free of charge. This isn’t the company’s first recall — in 2009, it pulled models that were prone to crashing more than usual, and just a few days ago Zero recalled 2011 and 2012 bikes with a faulty brake light switch.
