ZTE Grand Memo II LTE Announced

ZTE Grand Memo II LTE Announced[MWC 2014] Is it me, or is it a day that is full of sequels when it comes to smartphones by ZTE, a company which hails from China? The ZTE Grand Memo II LTE has just been announced, where it will be a follow up to the ZTE Grand Memo that was first introduced to the world at Mobile World Congress – last year, that is. This latest device has been updated accordingly to suit the times, where it will feature a far more generous 6” display on the outside compared to the 5.7” screen in its predecessor, a 13MP shooter right at the back alongside a 5MP camera in front that will be able to guarantee you great looking selfies, not to mention a 3,200mAh battery which runs the entire shebang.

ZTE Open II Hits The Deck

ZTE Open II Hits The Deck[MWC 2014] We did take a look at the ZTE Open C earlier, so it goes without saying that yet another device from ZTE, which is the ZTE Open II, deserves at least the same amount of time for you to go through its specifications before you decide whether to pick up a cheap or cheaper handset. Yes, the ZTE Open II will be extremely far away from the high end smartphones, considering how this Firefox OS-powered device comes with a mere 2MP camera at the back alongside a touchscreen capable 3.5” HVGA (480 × 320 resolution) display, a dual-core 1.2GHz MSM8210 processor, 256MB RAM as well as 2GB of internal memory. The battery on the ZTE Open II will stand at 1,150mAh.

ZTE Open C Announced[MWC 2014] The folks over at ZTE (a company that has started to make waves in the global smartphone scene) from China have just introduced yet another creation of theirs, which is the ZTE Open C. What makes the ZTE Open C so special? It has been described to be one of the first devices that will run on the most recent version of Firefox OS, where it has been specially designed to offer users a superior user experience, in addition to a higher cost-performance ratio. In fact, the ZTE Open C will first roll out in Venezuela and Uruguay on the Telefónica network sometime in the second quarter of this year because of its long term partnership with the mobile service provider.

    ZTE Nubia 5 Review

    ZTE Nubia 5 Review

In the U.S., there are several very well-known companies manufacturing popular smartphones on a regular basis. Companies like Samsung, LG and Apple are synonymous with mobile as their devices have gained in popularity over the years. ZTE is a company not many those in the U.S. are too familiar with as the company primarily offers their devices to the overseas market, but that doesn’t mean what they offer isn’t as competitive.

ZTE released its Nubia 5 a few months ago and its specs can easily compete with most of what’s currently available in the U.S. as it features a 5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 13MP main camera, 2MP front-facing camera and a 2300mAh battery. This is just the tip of the iceberg as there’s more to the Nubia 5 than its high-end specs, so without further ado, let’s get into our review of ZTE’s latest smartphone.

ZTE To Introduce New Android And Firefox Phones This MWC

ZTE To Introduce New Android And Firefox Phones This MWCZTE, the China-based device manufacturer that has had its fair share of device releases in the past (not to mention at the recently concluded CES 2014), does seem to be pretty excited about the upcoming Mobile World Congress that is happening in Barcelona, Spain, later this month. It seems that ZTE is working on a new Android-powered device that has a 6” display which will be known as the ZTE Grand Memo II LTE. Apart from that, we will also see more of an updated version to the ZTE Open (which incidentally was announced at last year’s edition of MWC).

ZTE Nubia Z7 Rumored For March/April Announcement

ZTE Nubia Z7 Rumored For March/April AnnouncementThe ZTE Nubia Z7 is a handset that we learned about back in January of 2013. Oddly enough ZTE has not announced the device, leaving us to wonder about its fate. Is it cancelled? Is it put on hold? Well according to the latest rumors, it seems that ZTE has been quietly reworking the device and could announce it in the next month or so. This is according to Chinese website, CNMO, who claims that ZTE could announce the Nubia Z7 in March or April, which we have to say is a little odd given that MWC 2014 is around the corner and it would have been a great platform for ZTE to make their announcement.

Then again perhaps the device is still not ready to be shown off yet which could explain the delay. In any case according to the rumor, the Nubia Z7 is said to feature a 6.44-inch display which is the same size as the Sony Xperia Z Ultra for those who want a little bit of context. It is also expected to feature a new user interface, a more minimalist and flatter one and will apparently run on Android 4.4 KitKat. It is also rumored to pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset clocked at 2.3GHz and 128GB of onboard storage. Either way we’re not sure what took ZTE so long to come to the market with the Nubia Z7, but take it with a grain of salt for now and hopefully we will learn more soon.
