Believe it or not, America’s favorite holiday is under a fortnight away. And this year, it looks as if Toys R Us won’t even wait for Thanksgiving Day to conclude before forcing employees behind registers and breaking families apart as they seek out lukewarm deals camouflaged as revolutionary purchases. This year, Black Friday begins at 10PM on Thanksgiving Eve, meaning that quite a few desperate souls will be lined up in a parking lot rather than circling a stuffed bird and chuckling with loved ones. The culprit? Two devices in particular. The first is an unnamed 7-inch netbook, complete with WiFi, three USB sockets, a sub-two pound weight, a red chassis and a mind-scrambling $79.99 price tag. The second is a 7-inch Sylvania tablet, sporting Android 2.1, WiFi and an SD card slot; we’re assuming it’s the same unit Kmart is hawking for $180, but Toys R Us will have it for the low, low price of $139.99. Other hidden treasures include a Vivitar point-and-shoot for $39.99, 7-inch Coby digiframe for $24.99 and a Vivitar pocket camcorder for just $19.99. We know your gears are already turning, but lest we forget that time with family is priceless… right?

Want the cheapest way to try out Windows Phone 7? Outside of getting yourself hooked up with a job at a tech blog, Amazon might have the very finest option for you with its newly discounted $0.01 pricing on two AT&T handsets for the new platform. The HTC Surround and its slide-out speaker are available immediately whereas the LG Quantum, which slides to reveal a more conventional QWERTY keypad, is on back-order. Fear not, though, both will cost you a mere cent when obtained in conjunction with a new AT&T line and a two-year bond with the carrier. We might still prefer their European counterparts, but you can’t deny these phones look to be priced just about right for what they are. Shame that this pricing will only last through the weekend.

Missed out on the limited run of Windows 7 Family Packs back in July of last year? You aren’t alone. In fact, it sold out in record time, and now that you’ve bitten the bullet and ponied up for a trio of retail copies, the folks in Redmond are having a laugh at your impatience. As a way to celebrate the nearing of the one year Windows 7 anniversary, Microsoft is now re-offering the Win7 Family Pack on its online store. As a refresher, $149.99 allows for Windows 7 Home Premium to be installed on up to three PCs, but Microsoft warns that the offer stands only while supplies last. Oh, and if you live outside of America? Look for your opportunity to arise on October 22nd.

Chinese telecom giant Huawei already has a pretty big (and growing) presence in North America, having previously signed deals with regional carriers like Leap (better known by its Cricket brand) and MetroPCS — but apparently, a bid to supply one of the Big Four with equipment is hitting a little too close to home for some legislators. A group of eight US Senators has filed a letter with the Treasury Department expressing concern over Huawei’s alleged ties with everything from Saddam Hussein’s Iraq to present-day Iran to China’s own People’s Liberation Army, saying that such a company “should not be able to do business” in the country. Of course, similar concerns ended up dooming Huawei’s attempted buyout of 3Com not long ago — and considering the political climate in US-China relations, this is the kind of lukewarm response Huawei and other major Chinese firms might need to keep dealing with as they try to grow their Western presence.

If the Vibrant’s $200 price tag on contract was the only thing keeping you planted on the fence, you might want to head over to T-Mobile’s interwebs right this second seeing how they’re offering a one-day special — $99, online only — which makes it $100 cheaper than AT&T’s Captivate and $150 less than Sprint’s Epic 4G. Any way you slice it, that’s a killer carrier-direct price for a high-end Android phone with a 1GHz core and one of the best phone displays we’ve ever seen… and remember, it includes Avatar, which means you’re getting this for the price of a few Avatar Blu-rays. Yeah, that’s the way to look at it.
Update: Don’t want to drop even a single Benjamin on T-Mobile’s foremost Android? How’s a penny sound? We’re seeing the Vibrant for $0.01 (and two years of your life) right now at Amazon.

Amazon’s been known to have some killer deals, and well, here’s another. The new BlackBerry Torch, arguably RIM’s best smartphone to date (for what that’s worth), is just $99.99 on contract. That’s just about half off its usual entry fee with a two-year contract, so if you’re in the market to upgrade your current Bold for something with a little more slide, now’s your chance!
