Hard to say if it’s too little, too late, but one thing’s for darn sure — Acer definitely has a lot of competition to shake off if it wants this Aspire RevoView to truly succeed. Announced originally way back in May, this here network media streamer is just now gaining an image, price and release date. It’s able to fetch content from USB hard drives, an internal 3.5-inch HDD, a memory card slot or the world wide web, but the latter seems contained to just YouTube, Picasa and Flickr for the time being. It’ll push things out via an HDMI socket on the rear, and the bundled remote will keep your keister firmly planted while it’s in operation. No word on whether or not this fellow will ever leave the confines of the UK, but it’ll go on sale there next week for £119.99 ($193).

Across the pond, lucky Europeans are waking up to the opportunity to buy Samsung’s overpriced Galaxy Tab. The Android 2.2 3G tablet is on sale today, and can be had on the 3 network at a confusion of different prices.

These tariffs come from Carphone Warehouse, as good a place as any to choose for pricing as it sells phones from all carriers. On a monthly plan, the cheapest handset price is £99 (£159) if you you sign up for two years at £40 ($64) per month. That gets you 5GB of bandwidth, which isn’t bad.

If you pay the full whack of £500 ($800) you can opt for a £10-per-month ($16) contract-free data-plan. It rolls along like any other plan, automatically renewing itself until canceled, and gives you 1GB of bandwidth to use.

Finally, the raw, no-nothing handset price is $529, or $850. That, if you’re counting, is $21 more than the most expensive iPad, with 64GB storage. To be fair, this compares the rather expensive Pound Sterling prices back to the iPad in dollars, but even in Blighty the Tab costs the same as the 16GB Wi-Fi iPad.

If anything, this head-to-head pricing will really show us if the bigger Tab can be as popular as its multi-million-selling little brother, the Galaxy Tab S. We hope so. The Tab is the first real rival to the iPad we have seen yet.

At last, progress. We’ve heard whispers of “rural broadband expansion” thrown from halls of politicians for months on end, but it looks like a small company across the pond is cutting through the red tape and getting down to business. Deltenna’s WiBE — described as a device to deliver fast broadband to rural areas that are far from the phone exchange — is available starting today in the UK and Ireland. It’s purpose? It connects to nearby 3G networks and creates a mobile hotspot, not unlike a MiFi. The difference is that it delivers a data throughput around 30 times greater than a 3G USB modem, and the connection range is “typically between three and five-times that of the 3G dongle.” The theoretical maximum is 7.2Mbps, with extensive testing demonstrating a typical download rate of 2.8Mbps in rural regions. Cetag Systems in Ireland and Buzz Networks in the UK will be first to offer it, with pricing set at £425 (less with bundles) in England and €299 through Cetag. Wildfowl sold separately, though.

Don’t take this as the gospel, but online retailer Expansys has gone ahead and listed Dell’s Venue Pro — affectionately known as “the Windows Phone 7 device with a portrait QWERTY slider” — with pricing and availability date in tow. Which, if you’re wondering, is £499.99 (or about $783 in US dollars, when crudely converted) and Monday, November 8th, respectively. That’s just over two weeks away, which means if it is true, you won’t have long to wait… and if it’s not true, you’ll know soon enough, anyway.

We knew Windows Phone 7 was scheduled to land first internationally, but it’s always a treat to hear the particulars. Orange UK has just (re)revealed that it’ll be the exclusive carrier of HTC’s 7 Mozart across the pond, and it’ll be joined by Samsung’s Omnia 7 as both go on sale tomorrow morning in Orange’s Oxford Street shop — fittingly, at 7am local time. Naturally, the carrier is going to blow out the launch, with each customer buying a WP7 handset to receive a complimentary Bluetooth headset… while supplies last, anyway. You’ll also get a stockpile of Orange applications and services (like it or not), and we’re told that each phone will be offered for zilch with a fresh contract starting at £35 per month (7 Mozart) / £40 per month (Omnia 7). Jealous, North America?
