An Italian magazine is reporting that the National Security Agency (NSA) spied on internal communications at the Vatican and phone calls at the Domus Sanctae Marthae, the church residence where cardinals lived during the papal conclave and the pope’s current home.
The weekly magazine, Panorama, reports in an issue that hits the streets on Thursday that the NSA labeled calls in and out of Vatican offices as “leadership intentions”, “threats to the financial system”, “foreign policy objectives,” and “human rights.” It says calls regarding this year’s election of the new president of the Vatican Bank, Ernst von Freyberg, were also intercepted.
The article also cites WikiLeaks, and suggests that Francis was being watched as far back as 2005 when he was the Archbishop of Buenos Aires.

It was only a matter of time before someone driving with Google Glass got pulled over. But it’s what the police officer included on the ticket that makes for such an interesting case study.
On Tuesday night, self-proclaimed Google Glass pioneer Cecilia Abadie was pulled over while driving in San Diego. The California Highway Patrol officer ticketed her for speeding, but included another offense on the violation: distracted driving.
In an image of the ticket, which Abadie shared on Google+, Google Glass is written (in parentheses) in what appears to be a description of the secondary violation.

Perhaps it’s the result of creative differences when it comes to styling Guy Fieri’s ‘do, but the Food Network star got into a violet fight with his hairdresser Saturday night. Video footage of the brawl was caught on tape and obtained by TMZ.
In the video, Fieri’s hairdresser Ariel Ramirez is outside the passenger side of an SUV, shouting expletives at Fieri while punching him in the front seat.
“You f–king d–k head,” Ramirez shouts repeatedly.

Week after week, viewers have reveled in the sharp, sad, bittersweet and bitchy material that has been given to the show’s impressive array of actresses. The cast includes Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Taissa Farmiga, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Patti LuPone and Lily Rabe — a roster I described to executive producer Tim Minear as an “embarrassment of witches” (he didn’t disagree).
It’s a glittering assembly, but there was never any danger that Angela Bassett would go unnoticed.

I shaved my vagina this morning. As I did it, pretty much the way I always do, stretching one labia and then the other, trying to get to those delicate spots, I found myself answering to a Greek feminist chorus in my head.
A lot of us worry about whether or not we should be shaving our vaginas. About what it MEANS to shave our vaginas. Probably once a week someone pitches me an article about vagina-shaving, as in: “Is it feminist to shave my vagina?” (See also: to wear makeup, to wear high heels, to get plastic surgery, etc. etc.) I wrote one of those ubiquitous vagina-shaving articles myself, back in 2011.
