PINs In The Future Could Involve Shapes And Colors

ATM PINs usually consist of a series of numbers chosen by you. However given that they are only numbers and given that there is a disturbing amount of people out there who choose really bad passwords, someone could easily figure out your ATM PIN. So what can one do then? Well according to a company called TRI-PIN, they have developed a new system in which they claim would make it much harder for someone to figure out your PIN, simply because in addition to numbers, this system will utiize colors and shapes as well, thus adding on to the numerous possibilities which only a computer will probably be able to figure out, although admittedly it could take a while to run all the different permutations.

According to the company, “A user chooses a PIN with a combination of numbers, colours and shapes;, for example: 3, square, pink, flag. Each time that the user has to input their pin, the colours and symbols randomly change position on the TRI-PIN keypad, so you’re never pressing the same sequence of keys.” It sounds like a pretty clever idea although based on what we can see in the video above, chances are this might work better with a touchscreen display rather than physical keys, but who knows, perhaps someone could find a way to adapt it. In the meantime what do you guys think?

Red Dead Redemption 2 Could Launch As Soon As 2014, According To Analyst

RedDeadRedemption-Multi-Edit029Red Dead Redemption was released back in 2010 and found itself surrounded by positive reviews. That being said, we’re sure many gamers out there are interested in seeing a sequel released, especially in today’s day and age where we might look forward to different gameplay as well as improved graphics. Well the good news is that a sequel to Red Dead Redemption could be in the works and could even be launched later this year, at least that’s according to Baird Equity Research, who has come to the conclusion that Take-Two and Rockstar could be making an announcement regarding the sequel later this year.

According to analyst Colin Sebastian, “We expect product announcements over the next year such as extending GTA V to other platforms (e.g., PC, next-gen consoles), the next Red Dead, etc., to help improve revenue and earnings visibility. In addition, the company has significant potential to grow digital/onnline revenues, which should help improve gross margins and add visibility to growth.” Their analysis is based on how they expect Take-Two to meet the guidelines they issued to shareholders for the next financial year. Of course neither Take-Two nor Rockstar have make any statement regarding any of the games mentioned above yet, so do take it with a grain of salt for now, but would you guys love to see a Red Dead Redemption 2?

Samsung Signs Cross-Licensing Deal With Ericsson

samsung-logoBack in 2012, Ericsson filed a lawsuit against Samsung claiming patent infringement. This lawsuit was then followed up by a request for an import ban against Samsung’s products, adding more legal trouble for Samsung who was at that time battling against Apple as well. While Apple and Samsung have yet to work out their differences, it looks like Samsung and Ericsson have as the South Korean tech giant has announced that they have signed a cross-licensing deal with Ericsson  although there is no word on how long this cross-licensing deal will last for.
