Razer Struggling To Get OEMs Onboard With Project Christine

Razer Struggling To Get OEMs Onboard With Project ChristineBack at CES 2014, Razer unveiled an ambitious new concept called Project Christine. For those unfamiliar, Project Christine is basically where Razer plans to build a completely modular PC where parts can be swapped out as easy as sliding it out from its slot and putting in a new one.

This is compared to current PC building where users will have to struggle with screws, bolts, washers, and also figure out which wire goes onto which port on the motherboard, and so on. Not to say that it is extremely difficult to do, but it’s definitely not for those who aren’t as tech savvy. (more…)

Mario Kart 8 Will Not Be Shipping Early, According To Nintendo

Mario Kart 8 Will Not Be Shipping Early, According To NintendoMany gamers are probably looking forward to playing Mario Kart 8 on the Wii U or the 3DS and the game has been pegged for a release on the 30th of May, meaning that we have a little over two months to go before we are able to play the game. However according to Amazon’s website, they have listed the game as shipping in 2-4 weeks which would definitely see the game released earlier than expected.

One forum user on NeoGAF decided to confirm with Amazon to see if it was true, and through an online chat with an Amazon rep, Amazon apparently confirmed that the game would indeed ship in 2-4 weeks. Now before you get too excited, Nintendo has since refuted those claims and stated that the game will not be shipping early. (more…)

Titanfall And Forza 5 Xbox One Bundles Sees Price Cuts

Titanfall And Forza 5 Xbox One Bundles Sees Price CutsIf there was one criticism that gamers had of the Xbox One it was that it was more expensive compared to the Sony PlayStation 4. When both consoles were launched, Sony priced their console at $399 while Microsoft priced the Xbox One at $499, $100 more expensive than Sony which appeared to put them at a disadvantage.

However it should be noted that the Xbox One comes with the Kinect while the PS4’s price contains the console alone, and if you wanted to add the PlayStation Camera, you’d have to add $60 which would still make it cheaper, or would it? (more…)

CyanogenMod Nightlies Adds Business/People Search In Dialer App

CyanogenMod Nightlies Adds Business/People Search In Dialer AppOne of the interesting and handy features of Android 4.4 KitKat is the ability to search for people or businesses in the dialer app. For example if you wanted to call a particular restaurant to make a booking but you don’t have their number, you could try searching for it in the dialer app as opposed to having to fire up your browser and perform a search.

This could potentially cut down the time spent searching for phone numbers and is pretty handy, since a business’s name will also show up in the caller ID, letting you know who is calling. The good news is that if you don’t have Android 4.4 KitKat but would like that feature, the folks at CyanogenMod will be adding that feature into their latest nightlies. (more…)
