Beats Pill XL review: Dr. Dre’s newest speaker is supersized and super loud
Posted in: Today's Chili Back in 2012, Beats unveiled its diminutive Pill wireless speaker in a bid to steal the Jambox’s thunder. Since then, its main rival hasn’t exactly been standing still: Jawbone has released two more Bluetooth speakers, including the well-received Big…
I am quite sure that most of us hardly use a wired mouse anymore these days. After all, just about all mice come in the wireless format. Even in the gaming industry, plenty of new generation gaming mice arrive sans wires, although there will be some who swear by a wired gaming mouse simply because there is a guarantee that there will be no dropped connections along the way, not to mention minimizing any kind of latency issues. Rapoo has just announced their ergonomic T120P Wireless Touch Mouse, making it the ideal mobile accessory for laptop users.
This will be a Windows 8 compatible mouse that will feature an ambidextrous design, where it will be powered by a reliable 5GHz wireless connection that delivers a smooth and interference-free mobile experience. I don’t suppose it will be of much use when it comes to gaming, but for regular office work, it ought to function just nice.
Apart from that, there will also be the Smart Touch Zone technology found on the Rapoo T120P Wireless Touch Mouse, which happens to be an intelligent 4D touch wheel that has an interactive vibrating feedback which will do its part to deliver easy navigation, doing away with the need for a traditional mechanical scroll wheel. If you have a particularly long spreadsheet to go through, then the T120P will fit the bill perfectly, as it boasts of fast-scrolling capability, where a single swipe of your finger over the touch zone, users are able to scroll through long documents, excel files and web pages in a snap.
Apart from that, the Rapoo T120P will also boast of a stylish design which will combine smooth lines, a clear touch surface and seamless integration of left and right keys. The mouse itself will also feature a plug-and-forget nano receiver that is so tiny and unobtrusive, you can opt to leave it plugged into your USB port without having to remove it. Choose from yellow, white, red, green or black colors for $34.99 a pop.

Should I Wait for the iPhone 6?

The folks at PiFace – makers of hardware interfaces for the Raspberry Pi – wanted to make a camera rig that could create the bullet time effect popularized by The Matrix, but they didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars on cameras. Naturally their first instinct was to see if they could use the Raspberry Pi to make a cheaper alternative. To their surprise, their idea worked!
PiFace calls its rig the Frozen Raspberry Pi or Frozen Pi. It consists of 48 Raspberry Pis each with a Raspberry Pi Camera and a PiFace Control and Display interface, all mounted on a laser-cut wood frame. The computers are networked via Ethernet so they can be simultaneously triggered remotely and so that the pictures they take can be sent to a single computer. PiFace wrote a Python script to collect the pictures and arrange them in order. Skip to around 2:17 in the video below to see the rig in action and people in inaction.
Slow down time and head to the PiFace blog to find out more about how they made the Frozen Pi.

The secret to getting a good night’s rest would be having a comfortable bed, as well as being in the right temperature, with a nice pillow and bolster for others. Of course, it also helps if everything around you was deathly quiet, and for some of us, we would need to have a decent soothing soundtrack playing in the background. With the $69.95 Sleep Sound Generating Pillow, you can be ushered into dreamland faster than you can count up to 100 sheep.
The Sleep Sound Generating Pillow happens to be a cordless plush pillow which will play back white noise as well as nine relaxing nature sounds so that you will be able to sleep faster than you have ever done before. Instead of having to deal with the nasty tangles of a headphone cord, there will be well hidden speakers in the pillow which will be able to deliver clear audio without bulky components. Apart from that, it also helps keep the sound close to your ear, resulting in a lower level of play volume compared to speakers so that others in the same room as you, too, will be able to sleep.

GMail will be allowing users to replay to emails by using the GMail Chat feature. It will allow you to instantly talk to a person about the email rather than taking the time to send an email back to them. Here is how Google says that you can use the feature:
1. Log in to your Gmail account. 2. Open the message you’d like to chat about, and make sure the sender is online and available to chat. 3. Click Reply by chat at the bottom of the message. * A new chat window will open displaying the subject of the email you’re discussing. 4. Click the X in the top-right corner of the chat window when you’re done discussing the e-mail.
Google will also group your chat history (if you have it enabled) with the email message so that you have the whole “conversation” in one spot. This sounds like something a few people will use but the great thing is that if you don’t use it you will hardly even notice it.

Forget the cork. A real man uses tools to protect his wine and keep it fresh. This technique was probably discovered when some guy was enjoying a glass of wine in the tool shed and simply used what he had on hand.
This quality bottle stopper is designed to fit most standard sized bottles and is made of stainless steel. One added benefit of the screwdriver top is that it’s easy to grip. Though it won’t be tightening any screws any time soon.
It is only $10.95(USD) from HomeWetBar. Don’t let your wine go bad. Shove a screwdriver in that bottle and keep things fresh.
