iTunes App Store Gets An Indie Game Showcase SectionIf there’s one thing great about indie games is that sometimes they tend to surprise us with their gameplay. It is because the games are indie games and don’t necessarily face the pressures and expectations that comes from big name developers, publishers, and triple A titles that the developers are free to explore all sorts of avenues.

Journey was a great example of an indie game which many gamers, including the hardcore ones, enjoyed immensely, at least based on reviews we’ve seen so far. To help highlight indie games and to gather them into a specific location, Apple has since launched a new “Indie Game Showcase” section on the iTunes App Store. (more…)

    iPhone 6s Camera Might Not See A Huge Megapixel Jump [Rumor]The iPhone 6 is probably one the most anticipated smartphones of 2014. Regardless whether you’re a fanboy or a critic, many are definitely curious as to what Apple has to offer. Now we have heard many rumors so far and many of them seem to point towards the iPhone 6 sporting a larger display, the use of the A8 chipset, new sensors, but what about its camera?

    Apple Patent Describes New Method Of Preserving Battery LifeThese days manufacturers are starting to get a bit smarter when it comes to managing battery life on smartphones. Some, like Samsung, have opted for ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture which basically has less powerful cores managing smaller tasks, while the more powerful cores engage in more strenuous tasks.

    Apple, too, have come up with a method of their own which was recently patented and discovered by the folks at AppleInsider. However instead of a hardware solution, this patent calls upon a software solution in which the system would be able to monitor a user’s usage habits, monitor the charge and discharge cycles of the battery, and use all that information to predict what the user might be doing at that time.     First Apple Reseller Throws In The Towel After 37 Years

    Apple wasn’t always the behemoth that it is today. Just like any other company, it too has humble beginnings. Consisting of only a few employees back then, the company had to convince investors to take a chance on it, it had to convince computers shops to sell its products. One of the first companies to do so was Minneapolis based Team Electronics, which later changed its name to FirstTech. It shipped the first batch of Apple computers in the late 1970′s, and holds the distinction of being the first Apple reseller in the world. After 37 years of selling Apple’s products, its closing shop for good.

    China Mobile Sold Over 1m iPhones In February

    China Mobile Sold Over 1m iPhones In FebruaryChina Mobile did report its first loss of annual profits in 14 years (which is a long time), being the world’s largest carrier in terms of subscribers, although they did mention that they have decided to invest heavily investing in its 4G network. So far, we do know that China Mobile has sold approximately 1.34 million LTE-enabled smartphones, where the majority of those were Apple’s iPhone. In fact, China Mobile also did make a similar order to Apple recently.
