The slow drip of Nexus One info continues at the FCC — just a day after we saw the Bluetooth desktop dock hit the database, the Bluetooth car dock we’d also seen floating around has turned up for inspection. And what’s this? The list of ancillary testing equipment used says the phone’s “trade name” is “Google Phone,” which is the first time we’ve seen that name used in a semi-official fashion. It’s particularly notable since this form was prepared by HTC employees and the phone is called the Nexus One elsewhere in the document, so you’d think they’d just put either HTC or Nexus One in that space. Of course, it’s also entirely possible that whoever filled out this form just got a little carried away, but c’mon — you wouldn’t lie to the government, now would you? Up until now, the only official shot of the Joojoo tablet was that seductive snippet of the corner. ‘Course, you got a pretty good look of the thing if you bothered to watch our sit-down with Fusion Garage’s Chandra Rathakrishnan, but it’s still a pleasing sight to see the company push out a nice gallery of press shots to really tickle the senses. We aren’t exactly sure if these guys have Cameron’s approval to use Avatar screen shots to promote their product, but at this point, we wouldn’t put anything regarding the Joojoo beyond the realm of feasibility. Oh, and if you were wondering how you’d eventually use this thing as an at-home movie viewer, the $29.99 dock accessory pictured above is the answer. One word of caution, however: given all the drama surrounding this thing, use that pre-order button at your own risk.

P.S. – Our good pal Chippy is suggesting that the only possible CPU / GPU tandem that could result in the claimed 1080p support and 5 hours of battery life is the Atom Z530 and the GMA500, both from Intel. Hopefully we’ll hear something official in short order.

We heard earlier this month that Magellan was looking to one-up TomTom by outing an iPod touch / iPhone GPS car kit of its very own, but a few critical details were missing: namely, a price and a release date. Thanks to a new product listing on Amazon (capped after the break), we at least have a clue as to when this thing will be shipping stateside and for how much. If you’ll recall, this one’s compatible with the 2nd and 3rd generation iPod touch as well as the iPhone 3G and 3GS, and aside from providing a built-in speaker, charging capabilities and a noise-canceling handsfree speakerphone, it’ll also work with any navigation or location-based app — not just Magellan’s own $79.99 RoadMate program. The unfortunate part here is that Magellan has somehow managed to produce a cradle that’s actually more expensive that the ludicrously overpriced TomTom variant, but those willing to part with $129.99 can place their order now and look for a December 11th ship date.

We’ve been playing with the Altec Lansing inMotion Classic iMT620 for a few days now, and before you think “man, not another iPhone stereo dock,” look again. It was (mostly) love at first sight when we spotted this mini boombox — sharp corners and minimalism are what Altec Lansing does best these days, and the hint of retro isn’t hurting anyone, either. Like the iMT620’s predecessors, the inMotion series still bears the portability hallmark in the form of a built-in battery (up to five hours for this model), and now with the addition of a multifunctional handle as well. But is it really worth the $149 tag? Read on to find out.
