From time to time Google tries its hand at something new, something that it has never done before. Word on the street is that a Google wireless carrier service is being explored. Apparently the folks at Mountain View want to launch their very own service and they’re reportedly in talks with Verizon to see if Big Red will let them piggyback on its nationwide network.

Google bosses are dreaming about adding wireless service to the search giant’s menu of offerings. A couple of unnamed sources "who have discussed the matter with Google" told Amir Efrati at The Information that it would roll out the service in the same areas where Google Fiber is offered. In other words, Google wants it all.
Online rumours claim Google is planning some sort of premium owner experience for future Android phone buyers, with the Android Silver scheme said to encourage networks to babysit owners of phones, guarantee the latest version of Android and show them how to buy stuff through Google Play.
