Well, it looks like a hi and then it winds into a gentle smack. But still, the lion cub who stumbled upon this GoPro camera is just so adorable that I wouldn’t mind getting pawed around by the little prince of the jungle.
They say the best quadcopter is the one you have with you (or is that cameras?) because not every opportunity to capture some glorious aerial footage is planned. So while you can spend thousands of dollars on a giant rig designed to hoist a heavy DSLR, why not save yourself some cash and opt for this wonderful $495 Pocket Drone that folds into a case smaller than a seven-inch tablet.
Not that we needed any further proof that GoPro’s hardware is the compact camcorder of choice for anyone looking to capture a unique first-person perspective, but the company recently won a Technological Emmy for its creation. And, of course, the company’s founder captured the whole event with one of its cameras.
Conan may be funny, but he’s hardly the most extreme of characters. So what the hell use would he have for a GoPro?
Until you’ve been to CES, it’s hard to appreciate how immense the exhibition space is. To convey the experience, we fired up a GoPro as we toured the show floor. Here is a a minute and a half of the chaos.
If you’re into wearable cameras, diving underwater, or participate in extreme sports, chances are you might have checked out GoPro’s lineup of cameras which are not only designed to be worn, but are also rugged, allowing them to be used in the most extreme of situations. Now the good news is that if you are the proud owner of a brand new Xbox One gaming console, you might be pleased to learn that a GoPro channel will be making its way onto the Xbox One console in the near future in the spring of 2014. However there were no specific dates mentioned about its upcoming launch, so we guess we will just have to keep an eye out for it.
Like we said given GoPro’s reputation for wearable cameras that can capture extreme sports footage from a first person’s point of view, the GoPro channel for the Xbox One will presumably be related to action sports. However the content released will not be user-generated content, but rather ones put together by GoPro, which we guess will most likely serve as a good way to advertise the company’s products. According to GoPro, this channel is expected to be similar to the channel offered on Virgin America, and if you’ve flown or about to fly with the airline company, you can check it out to get a better idea.
With gamers these days being more demanding and no longer satisfied with just being able to play games, companies such as Sony and Microsoft have started to add more social and entertainment features, providing gamers with an alternative to gaming if they need a break or want to do something else.
