It should be no secret by now that Apple has something brewing in the iPhone department set for a big reveal in the the near future. What we’ve seen over the past few weeks is a trickle turned to a steady stream of bits and pieces leading us to believe that there’s not just one, […]
Look closely at the camera lens of your iPhone 5. See that build-up of dirt and grime behind the glass? Ew! It might seem like the gunk is going to build up forever, inaccessible and making your photos progressively worse. But there is hope.
Apple has released its iOS 7 beta 5 download for developers, updating those on the bleeding edge with their iPhones and iPads, as well as a new Apple TV seed. The fifth release, spotted by 9to5Mac, follows beta 4 at the tail-end of July and mostly comprises bugfixes as the new version of iOS gets […]
When we first got our hands on the Moto X
This week we’re bound to see another massive collection of Apple device leaks, not least of all because we’re coming up on a period where it’s likely Apple will hold an event to release a new smartphone, smartphones, or tablet. Or even a couple of tablets if the rumor mill turns out to ring true. […]
Nokia has thrown down the gauntlet to the iPhone 5, with a new commercial that pits Apple’s smartphone against the Lumia 925‘s camera and – so the plucky Finns claim – finds Cupertino’s finest left wanting. The advert, promising “Better Photos Every Day”, shows side-by-side comparisons taken on the iPhone 5 and the Lumia 925, […]
Apple’s iPhone 5 is currently the company’s latest smartphone, but for Samsung, the Galaxy S4 is their latest device but interestingly it seems that in a recent customer satisfaction survey conducted by the American Customer Satisfaction Index, the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Note 2 managed to top Apple’s iPhone 5, beating out the device by a mere 2 points. Apple has managed to maintain a score of above 80 for all of its products, but ultimately it looks like Samsung’s products have managed to outdo them which we’re pretty sure Apple is not too happy about.
According to ASCI’s director, David VanAmburg, “Not only does Samsung edge ahead of all iPhones, Apple customers themselves don’t see much difference between the iPhone 4, 4S, or 5 […] The latest earnings report from Apple was better than expected, but the name of the game for Apple has always been innovation. Samsung, on the other hand, shows a strong upward ACSI trend from the Galaxy S II to the Galaxy S III. If the S4 performs as well — or even better — in the eyes of customers, Samsung could threaten Apple’s dominance in overall customer satisfaction.”
What do you guys think? It’s admittedly a pretty close match but will Apple be able to knock Samsung off from the top position, or will Samsung pull further away from Apple in the future?

iPhone Lite Could Feature Same 8MP Camera As iPhone 5, According To Leaked Component
Posted in: Today's ChiliNot much is known about the upcoming low-cost iPhone, or iPhone Lite as some are calling it, but based on leaks and rumors, it is expected to be somewhat affordable as far as iPhones are concerned, and could feature a plastic housing which we guess aided its affordability. However thanks to a newly leaked component allegedly belonging to that of the iPhone Lite, it seems that the device could feature an 8MP camera and it could be the same one found on the iPhone 5.
The original report claims that this is the exact same component and it even features the same sapphire crystal scratch-resistant cover. Given that the iPhone 5 has no problems taking amazing photos, we guess this is probably good news for potential iPhone Lite customers who might be worried that Apple might skimp on certain features. Other rumored specs include the same A6 processor found in the iPhone 5 and 1GB RAM, essentially making the device a plastic version of the iPhone 5. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but who else is pleased that the iPhone Lite could feature the same camera as the iPhone 5?

The first remix of the iPad mini that’ll be hitting the market later this year has appeared in the software developer kit sent to developers for the newest iteration of iOS 7. This device has appeared in three iterations; one with basic Wi-fi, the other two matching the carrier editions already out in the USA.
Earlier this month, we reported on an iPhone 5S leak that included production shots and a batch of specifications, some of which went against what earlier leaks had said to expect of the latest iPhone. These specs have appeared again, this time from the Chinese website EXPReview, which also published an image of several iPhone 5S chassis’ lined up and plastic wrapped.
The chassis’ featured in the image look essentially the same as the iPhone 5, mirroring what we saw in the leaked production shots of the handset on July 17th. In the leak, a second shot of the chassis was also published, which shows the inside of the shell with its grooves, as well as a shot of the rear panel. You can see it for yourself below. This isn’t the first time this particular image has made an appearance.
Some of the earlier rumors that had surfaced about the iPhone 5S stated that Apple was looking into a larger display for its new iPhone models, but this latest leak collaborates what we heard a couple weeks ago: that the iPhone 5S will feature the same panel as the iPhone 5. As such, it’ll be a 4-inch IGZO with a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels.
Reportedly, users will be seeing the same A6 chip put in the iPhone 5S, bringing with it a faster clock speed than previously available, as well as 2GB of RAM. There’s also said to be a dedicated quad-core GPU, and NFC connectivity, which we’ve heard previously. The rear camera is said to be a 12-megapixel sensor with a dual-LED flash.
Rumor has had it that production of the iPhone 5S would start this month, and the image of the chassis’ seem to substantiate that. As always, take the specifications with a healthy grain of salt, but thus far they match up with some other recent leaks that surfaced this month. You can check out other iPhone 5S details that have leaked in the timeline below.
