Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is currently available on current-generation video game consoles Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but its next-gen release is one both future PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners are really looking forward to. Last month, Sony unveiled its Xperia Z1 f in Japan, which is a smaller version of their Xperia Z1 that features much of the hardware included in that device. This is certainly a step in the right direction to what consumer electronics companies should be doing with their “mini” versions of popular devices, instead of throwing in specifications that aren’t quite up to par with the original device. November is finally here and enthusiastic gamers around the world are waiting on Microsoft to release its next generation console, the Xbox One. Much has already been written and read about the console, the hype has certainly not died down up till now. This is the first console from Microsoft to have a Blu-ray player built-in, but its going to be of no use to people who want to play 3D Blu-rays, at least initially. Microsoft has confirmed to CNET that at launch, the console is not going to support 3D Blu-ray disc playback.

Though Microsoft hasn’t said if its never going to add this feature. There exists the possibility that support for 3D Blu-ray playback may be added in the future. Sony allows both 3D games and 3D Blu-ray movies on the PS3, but it hasn’t clarified as yet if the PS4 is able to do this as well. Sony’s official FAQ page for the PS4 says that the console is capable of supporting 3D games, but no such titles are available at launch. Its too soon to say how much time Microsoft will take before finally allowing the playback of 3D Blu-rays on the Xbox One. The Xbox One launches November 22nd in the U.S.

Sony’s PlayStation 4 is just one week away from being released to the public, which means you are probably going to have an extremely long week ahead of you if you are expecting to pick up your console the day it releases. No matter where you pre-ordered your PlayStation 4, you can be sure shipments of the console are starting to roll in to prepare for the onslaught of gamers that will be picking theirs up starting on Friday. One such retailer that has received their shipments of PlayStation 4 consoles is Amazon, who decided to tease all gamers by showing their warehouse filled with Sony’s next-generation console.
