Live from LG’s CES 2011 press event

We’re entering the day of the liveblog here at CES with all the major electronics manufacturers finally ready to make their big splash announcements for 2011. LG is almost certain to drop some knowledge on us about its new triumvirate of Android smartphones, while 3DTVs, of both the mobile and supersized variety, are expected to feature strongly as well. Let’s not waste time prognosticating, however — there’s a set of well groomed Korean gentlemen ready to do right by us with a surely awesome presentation. Why keep them waiting? Live from Google’s Chrome event!

They rocked our world yesterday with Gingerbread, the Nexus S and a Honeycomb-based tablet, but Google’s not done yet — today, it’ll unveil a horse of a different form factor in Chrome OS. Verizon’s LTE network announcement event live at 12:00 ET!

So as you probably know, today’s the day that Verizon comes clean with all the details on the commercial launch of its LTE network, having scheduled a press conference for noon Eastern Time. We already know many of the details, but we’re crossing our fingers for some juicy extras in the event, namely any hints of information on when we’ll see LTE-enabled handsets in the marketplace like the rumored HTC Mecha and that unnamed LG. Oh… and some solid plan pricing details would be nice, too. Follow the break for our liveblog!
