MSI’s CULV-packin’ X-Slim X340 ships this month in US

MSI already told us that its ultraslim, super-sexy, WiMAX-ready X-Slim X340 would be starting at right around $1,000, and now we’re being told that the planet’s first laptop to be based on Intel’s CULV (consumer ultra low voltage) platform will be shipping in April. As in, this month. For the forgetful souls in the crowd, this here ultraportable will ship with an SU3500 CULV processor that consumes just 5.5 watts of power and a 4-cell battery. Now, to find a retailer ’round these parts willing to let you pre-order one…

MSI’s Wind Top AE1900 all-in-one PC comes to US at $529

MSI’s eco-friendly Wind Top AE1900 has already been formally introduced and spotted over in Hanover earlier this year, but the outfit notorious for withholding price and availability information until the last possible moment has finally let loose those very details. The 18.5-inch all-in-one PC is available with an Atom 230 or 330 CPU, a 1,366 x 768 resolution touchscreen, integrated GMA950 graphics, 2GB of DDR2-533 RAM, a 160GB or 250GB hard drive, 4-in-1 multicard reader, dual-layer DVD writer, WiFi, gigabit Ethernet, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and audio in / out sockets to boot. Two configurations are available (both are shown after the break), with the lesser of the two going for $529.

Samsung’s 10.1-inch N120 netbook now on sale

Samsung’s long-awaited (okay, so we made that part up) N120 netbook has finally transitioned from “might ship someday, maybe” to “oh, I’m definitely shipping.” Consumers interested in the 10.1-inch, 2.8 pound netbook can surf over now to Amazon and order one up in black or white for the not-totally-tantalizing price of $465.99. If you’ve forgotten what all that buys you, here’s a rundown, and feel free to say it with us in unison: 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Windows XP Home, a 1,024 x 600 resolution panel, 6-cell battery, a 3-in-1 multicard reader, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and an Ethernet jack for good measure. Oh, and there’s a “2.1-channel” sound system, for whatever that’s worth.

Samsung Instinct S30 now on sale at Sprint: $129.99 on contract

Right on cue, Samsung’s retooled Instinct (that’d be the Instinct S30, if you had any doubts) has gone on sale at Sprint. You’ll also notice that the $129.99 on-contract price we heard about is completely in tact, despite the fact that Best Buy Mobile could be selling this same handset in stores later this week for $80 less. At any rate, those champing at the bit to get one headed their way can now do so after choosing between Cobalt Metal and Touch of Copper hues, and if you’re looking to snag one with no strings attached, you’ll be paying $449.99 in order to do so.

Samsung Instinct S30 coming to Best Buy at $49.99

You never really know what to expect when fishing for a new phone at Best Buy Mobile. Go in one week, and you’ll see a strikingly pink Instinct for a strikingly large amount; go in next week, and you’ll see the miniaturized version of the original Instinct for under 50 bones. If a new flyer is to be believed, the Samsung Instinct S30 will be offered up for just $49.99 on contract at Best Buy, which is a whopping $80 less than what Sprint itself will supposedly ask for it on April 19th. Too good to be true? We’re hoping not.

Cyberdyne said to be mass producing $4,200 HAL robotic suit

Years after the HAL (Hybrid Assistive Limb) suit first debuted, it seems that Cyberdyne’s pride and joy is about to get really real. According to a report over at HPlus Magazine, the company is linking up with Daiwa House in order to “begin mass production” of the cybernetic bodysuit. You already know what it does — inflates the ego, boosts your strength and scores you loads of nerd dates — but here’s the crucial part: $4,200. Of course, there’s no hard date on when the first of the 400 annual units produced will be made available, but we’d probably get up with someone about a pre-order if you’re serious about going bionic.

True metal-heads have already modded their Rock Band / Guitar Hero kits to accommodate that DW 5000, but for those who lack any DIY genes whatsoever, there’s this. Accessory maker PDP is gearing up to ship its universal Rock Band replacement kick pedal, which conveniently ships with a “double bass adapter that allows for two pedals to be used at the same time.” Time to get to work on your coordination skills, ’cause you’ll definitely want to lay down $24.99 on this when it ships on June 1st.

HTC Touch Diamond lands tomorrow on Verizon: $299.99 on contract

It seems the rumblings and rumors were true — every last one of them. HTC’s now-aged Touch Diamond is indeed hitting Verizon Wireless this month, bringing with it the same 2.76-inch touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera, TouchFLO interface and Windows Mobile 6.1 OS that we’ve seen ad nauseum on carriers around the world (though it does boast a microSD card slot). We’re pretty baffled by the immensely large $299.99 on-contract sticker (after $70 mail-in rebate), and honestly, we just don’t see VZW moving too many of these before a price drop. In fact, are you even giving this a second thought?

Eye-Fi’s 4GB WiFi SDHC cards start to ship out

Nah, Eye-Fi’s latest Secure Digital cards still aren’t nearly as capacious (nor as cheap) as other alternatives on the market, but good luck getting that free-after-rebate 8GB SDHC card from IAWANNA Corp. to upload images via a wireless hotspot. We pinged the company today to see if the company’s 4GB Explore Video and Share Video SDHC models were shipping out, and we were informed that orders placed over the web were indeed leaving the docks. If you’re not kosher with handing $99.99 or $79.99 (respectively) over through the intertubes, both devices will splash down in stores starting on April 19th.
