It doesn’t get much better than this, folks. If KIRF is an art form this right here is your Mona Lisa, your Starry Night, your… painting with that dude screaming on a wharf. You know the one. Anyway, this is about the best iPod Nano knockoff we’ve ever seen, cloning that flat, proprietary connector and sporting a UI that would make the most ardent of Apple fanboys look twice. It has a camera on the back like the 5G, but trumps the Nano with support for a predictably wide suite of file formats and a price of just $33.25. A bargain, so long as you don’t mind the measly 2GB of storage and the nagging sense of guilt that comes with buying a fake — even if it is a spectacularly good one.

Not so keen on coughing up a month’s worth of WoW coinage in order to pay for FLO TV services? If so, and you can somehow keep yourself surrounded by WiFi waves at all times, Sungale just might have a cheaper alternative. The outfit has just revealed what it says is its “first IPTV,” though frankly it sounds more like a WiFi-enabled PMP with a knack for finding web programming. The 4.3-inch Kula is described as an “ultra-portable WiFi-enabled IPTV that allows users to access a large number of live streaming television programs from all over the world, selectable by country, language and topic like News, Sports and Finance all without the high rates.” Aside from using WiFi, there’s no mention of any other protocol to tap into various channel “packages,” though we’re not completely shutting out that possibility until we see this bugger at CES. Other specs include 2GB of internal memory, an SD / MMC expansion slot and support for a slew of file formats. Hop on past the break for the full release, which naturally omits any semblance of a price tag in keeping with the elusive theme.

The Archos 5 Internet Tablet hasn’t had the smoothest ride into the commercial realm, but thanks to a few firmware updates, the Android-based player seems to finally be humming along just fine. That said, not everyone’s interested in shelling out big bucks for a capacious version, which makes the latest edition perfect for those simply curious to see how Google’s mobile OS fares on a portable media player. The 8GB model has surfaced over at Radio Shack, bringing with it all the goods on the larger siblings but with far less internal space. The best part? That $249.99 price tag (and that little “In Stock” icon beside it).

iriver’s newest dedicated PMP is something to behold. A shiny black (with gold accents!) version of its no doubt beloved Hello Kitty player, this newest addition is all about its looks. The little player comes in 2GB and 4GB storage varieties, comes with a USB cable, ear buds, and a cute little lanyard for attaching it to things like your beltloop. The cases they make for the Hello Kitty PMP — such as the red devil horns — essentially sell themselves. They’re going on sale just in time for the holidays and the new year — but this one’s a Japan-only release for the time being. It’ll run you ¥7,980 (about $90) to grab one. Not that we haven’t seen turntable capabilities shoved into production and concept devices alike before, but there’s something curiously seductive about this one. Dreamed up by Sir Thomas Mascall, the Touchtable is a pocket-sized PMP that boasts a digit-friendly surface meant for scratching, mixing and all manners of interacting. Aside from playing back your favorite MP3s, this bugger can (in theory, anyway) also mix jams on the fly, cue outputs and even connect with a second Touchtable wirelessly in order to establish a more traditional DJ setup (at 1:8 scale). Plug it into a PC, and now you’ve got a MIDI controller.
