GameStop offers up silver DualShock 3 controller for North America

If that all-black DualShock 3 controller has just grown stale, and you’re not about to drop any coinage to have Colorware liven things up, GameStop has a fantastic solution — so long as you’re a fan of silver, that is. As of today, the firm’s website has a clear listing for a satin silver version of the wireless SIXAXIS, and anyone familiar with the silver PS2 controller will no doubt notice the striking similarities. Just so you know, this one’s been available in the Japanese market for eight centuries now, but it looks like the North American crowd can finally yell “me too!” when parting with $54.99 on June 24th.

Samsung posts N110 product page, pre-orders get going

Heads-up, netbook lovers — Sammy’s latest is totally official, though it’s becoming so after a bona fide review. At any rate, Samsung has just recently hosted up a product page for its 10.1-inch N110, which brags about its 9.5 hour battery life, 2.8 pound body and 93 percent full-size keyboard. Specs wise, it’s still rockin’ the tried-and-true N270 / 1GB / 160GB combo, which makes it pretty tough to choose over the far less expensive ASUS Eee PC 1000HE. At any rate, those who’ve somehow found the value proposition to be more enticing can get in line now for $441.99 at Buy.com, while the Samsung-linked CompSource has it listed for $458.

Sigma DP2 up for pre-order, retailing for $649

Amazon and B&H have pre-order pages up for the hotly-anticipated Sigma DP2, and both conveniently list the camera at $649 — well, convenient for your information gathering needs, not necessarily for your wallet. B&H expects a May availability, while Amazon is going with a typically vague “1-2 months.” Maybe they both can be right.

RTEV begins taking orders for Wheego Whip electric car

If you’re the type of Earth-loving individual who ain’t got nowhere to go in a hurry, RTEV’s ready and willing to take your order a brand new Wheego Whip. The company’s first street electric LSV (low speed vehicle) will begin shipping to early adopters in May, and it’s primed to carry up to two individuals and a few empty cola bottles anywhere you need to go — so long as there’s an AC outlet waiting at Point B. It’s retailing for under $19,000 and includes an MP3 stereo system, remote keyless entry, air conditioning and a sweet 10 percent Federal Tax credit. Of note, RTEV has plans to eventually produce a higher speed model of this very car, and there’s a trade-in program available (with terms that aren’t half bad) for those interested. For all the fine print, give that read link a tap.

Those of you feeling the need to tell someone your credit number before the Nintendo DSi’s April 5th US street date take heart: Amazon and GameStop are now both accepting preorders. Nokia USA now taking pre-orders for 5800 XpressMusic

There are already plenty of ways to get an American E63, so don’t pay too much attention to the phone on the left here — but the 5800 XpressMusic… well, that’s another story altogether. As rumored, the version of the S60 5th Edition handset with North American 3G is running $399 — though a promotion on the Nokia site knocks 10 percent off of that right from the get-go. No ship date is listed (we’re still hoping to see it later this month), so fair warning: all you’ll really be doing here is getting in line and hoping that nothing at MWC this week cools you to the 5800’s wiles.

Sharp’s 32- / 37-inch Blu-ray AQUOS LCD HDTVs up for pre-order

Right on cue, Sharp has offered two of its new Blu-ray-equipped AQUOS HDTVs up for pre-order. The 32-inch LC-32BD60U and 37-inch LC-37BD60U both feature 1080p panels, a trio of HDMI inputs, six millisecond response times and a slot-loading Blu-ray player on the side. Best of all, the 32-incher is coming up a dollar under a grand, while the 37-inch sibling will only run you $1,199. Sure, they’re a bit pricey compared to optical drive-less alternatives, but if you’ve been holding off on simultaneously scratching the BD + new TV itch, here’s your sign.

Acer Aspire One D150 with N270 previewed, now available for US pre-order

The 10.1-inch Acer Aspire One D150 has found its way onto Amazon and J&R’s websites and is now available for pre-order in blue and black color options, respectively. This version’s got the 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor and 6-cell battery, with no word on the 3-cell or 1.66GHz N280 variants. Asking price is three Benjamins and an Ulysses S. Grant, or $350 if you’re not into presidential pricing nomenclature. Additionally, the fine folks at netbooknews.de that gave us unboxing photos this week have a video hands-on of the laptop. High expectations from the market leader apparently turned into low marks for the glossy display, small trackpad, and a keyboard that’s “separated by universes” — and not in a good way — when compared to the Samsung NC10. Further testing is expected later this week, check out the video after the break.
