We’ve seen enough iPhone docking stations to last a lifetime — we’ve even seen our fair share of tables that take style cues from the smartphone — but we have to admit, Kyle Buckner’s iTable is in a league of its own. This rather involved docking solution combines the aesthetics of the iPhone 4 with a little bachelor-pad-of-the-future flair, allowing its user to summon a set of eight recessed speakers with a simple swipe of the hand. It’s also packing a set of four aluminum-trimmed cup holders, complete with LED lights to give your drinks a little mood lighting of their own. The thing’s all hand-crafted, and while it was designed with the iPhone 4 in mind, it can be built to fit your smartphone of choice. If you’re actually considering purchasing one of these things, may we also suggest a floating bed? We’ve seen still photos shot in the round, but wouldn’t it be nice to snag some panoramic moving pictures every once in a while too? Well, the folks at EyeSee360 certainly think so, which is why they’ve given the iPhone 4 some 360-degree video recording capability with the GoPano Micro. Comprised of a plastic case for your handset, a detachable 360-degree lens, and a GoPano app, the system lets iPhone fanboys do a circular pan with the swipe of a finger. That put you in the moviemaking mood? Well, you can’t get your hands on one just yet, but the venture has already reached its $20,000 funding goal, so those willing to invest $50 can head over to Kickstarter to reserve one of the first GoPano Micros off the production line. Before plunking down your hard-earned cash, however, check out all the full-circumference cinematic fun after the break.

If you’ve been waiting for a nice, easy jailbreak solution for iOS 4.3.1, then today’s your lucky day: Dev-Team’s just released redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 for both Windows and OS X, allowing us mere mortals to free our supported devices — iPhone 3GS, 4 (GSM); iPod touch 3G, 4G; iPad 1; and Apple TV 2G — with a few simple clicks. Alas, there are a couple of caveats: the iPad 2 isn’t supported here, as Cupertino has somehow managed to tighten up its security to fend off hackers (for now); and ultrasn0w users have also been told to hang tight until there’s a compatibility fix — Dev-Team will announce on Twitter when this becomes available. As for those who are eligible for this new jailbreak, head over to Dev-Team’s website for the download links, and make sure you have the corresponding IPSW files handy as well — you can find them over at iClarified or on your favorite search engine.

Foxconn Source Says iPhone 5 Will Have a Flat Metal Back
According to a source at Foxconn, the iPhone 5 is already in production, and it sports a flat metal back (as opposed to the iPhone 4’s glass back or a curved metal back like the original iPhone). It’s also expected to have a dual-core chip like the iPad 2. An image of the charging cable has surfaced, but not a finished product.

Details Announced for Toshiba’s 10.1-Inch Android Tablet
Toshiba’s second Android tablet, which is powered by a Tegra 2 processor, will include WiFi and Bluetooth, HDMI, and dual cameras—a 2-megapixel webcam on the front, and a 5-megapixel camera on the back. It’s got a USB 2.0 port, mini USB, SD card reader, and 3.5mm headphone jack, as well as a digital compass, GPS, and an accelerometer. The tablet, which may be released in June, also has a user-interchangeable battery and rubberized back covers.

Verizon iPhone Takes Up 4.5% of Total iPhone Traffic Since its Debut
The iPhone 4 has been with Verizon a scant two weeks, and now makes up 4.5% of total iPhone related traffic, according to a study by Millennial Media. It doesn’t sound like much, but that’s almost 5% of an area AT&T has had exclusive rights to for over 3 years. Additionally, Apple continues to lead mobile device sales this month, with Samsung and HTC in a close second and more distant third.

Using an iPhone app and a lift that rises from a utility room below, this forward-thinking homeowner can lower his kitchen island level with the floor, or raise it to full height when cooking needs to be done. I would imagine the stove eyes are located on one of the surrounding countertops, as opposed to the island. This seems like a fantastic way to save space, and could possibly make cleaning more efficient. Flor unitscover the island’s surface when it’s level with the floor, so you’re not dicing tomatoes where someone tracked their muddy boots across the floor an hour before.
