Sony’s NEX-7 exposed (again), spec list in tow

Having previously caught a glimpse of Sony’s upcoming NEX-7, it was only a matter of time before we saw the whole enchilada. Purported to carry the same 24.3 megapixel Exmor sensor rumored to be in the A77, the compact camera will also allegedly feature an OLED viewfinder and a 3-inch TruBlack LCD. Ostensibly, the 1080p / 24fps shooter also wields a magnesium alloy body, integrated flash and a new auto locking hot shoe. We have a feeling it won’t be too long before this puppy becomes official, but until then feel free to leer at more specs and pics at the source link below.

Droid Bionic gets 4.3-inch display, yours for $299 on September 8?

Droid Bionic Flyer

The Droid Bionic may be the most hyped phone in the history of gadgetdom. The latest round of spy shots come from a Best Buy flyer, a tips and tricks manual and a pic purported to come from Verizon’s Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) system — all of which lead us to believe launch is right around the corner. Most of the info here is not terribly surprising (an 8 megapixel camera, 1GHz dual-core processor, etc…), but there is one detail that threw us for a loop — the screen is only 4.3-inches. Rumor had it that the Bionic had been bumped to a 4.5-incher, and photos of it next to a Charge seemed to bear that out. Well, that was primarily an illusion created by the large bezel and a pair of very petite hands. This also means the Droid HD is packing a 4.3-inch screen, which may disappoint those hoping for a truly expansive 720p display. On the plus side, we can tell you the Bionic will support WebTop, wireless printing, and ZumoCast for streaming media from your home PC. And per Droid Life, it’ll be priced at $299 when it goes on sale September 8th. Now, we just have to wait for Verizon and Motorola to make it all official. Head on past the break for two images, and check the source links for even more.

HTC Puccini screens leak (again), to be known as Jetstream on AT&T?

HTC’s Puccini tablet is shaping up to be the company’s worst kept secret. This latest batch of leaked screen shots over on PocketNow show off the tab’s skinned homescreen where a clearly visible AT&T widget indicates a missing SIM card, and the Settings menu which points us to the product’s possible release name — Jetstream. The 10-inch slate, said to pack a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and Scribe functionality, appears to have a “true” 4G LTE AT&T destiny ahead of it, with a potential launch coming before the close of this year. Make sure to hit the source below for an additional look at this Android slate.

Nokia 800 and Acer M310 caught on Windows Phone dev’s stats, likely in testing

The fact that Nokia and Acer are busily preparing Windows Phones is no secret, but Sea Ray and W4 may not be the manufacturers’ only projects. Elbert Perez, a Windows Phone game developer with a keen eye for statistics, was looking through a list of the various devices that run his games, and a couple gems stood out — the Nokia 800 and Acer M310. The plot thickens when realizing that these names have never been seen before. Sadly, such a revelation prompts more questions than answers: are these completely new phones, or just the Sea Ray and W4 with new names? If testers are playing games on them, can we assume these are close to production? But don’t forget the lingering question that won’t ever be answered: are they winning the game?

Symbian Belle download leaked to N8 community, quickly pulled from site (update: Anna available on NaviFirm)

For a very short period of time there was pure bliss for Nokia N8 users with a knack for tinkering around; Symbian Belle, a coveted update to the still-unreleased Anna, was spotted in a user forum, leaked and available for download. Alas, it was not meant to be, as enough users experienced issues installing the new firmware that the files had to be pulled until it can be resolved. According to DailyMobile, the folks behind the update will try again tomorrow, so anyone interested may want to keep a close eye on it just in case it goes live again. As any other unofficial firmware install, it’s not for the faint of heart; you’ll want to be confident in what you’re doing before you get started. Head below for another eight-minute video.

Update: It looks like Symbian Anna is now available for N8 users, with early variants of the firmware showing up on NaviFirm. No word yet on when V22 will be available via Ovi Suite or as an OTA update, but if you’ve already upgraded, let us know how you’re finding it in the comments.

[Thanks, Daniel]

HTC Ruby to be dubbed Amaze 4G, come with 1.5GHz CPU and 4.3-inch display?

The white shell of the HTC Ruby exudes a “ghostly” quality, which seems to explain its ability to appear and disappear at will. This time the smartphone’s popped up in reports highlighting a couple important revelations: according to BGR, the Ruby’s slated to become the carrier’s flagship and will be looked upon as the Sensation 4G’s big brother. We’re not so sure about it being a literal statement, since the Ruby is speculated to have the same 4.3-inch display as its sibling, but it’ll definitely be more power-packed with a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and HSPA+ radio with connection speeds reaching up to 42Mbps. But that’s not all, folks: PocketNow, contributing some gossip of its own, is reporting that the phone will be called the Amaze 4G by T-Mobile, and will also have an 8 megapixel camera with dedicated still and video capture buttons. Now that leaks and reports are starting to pour in this quickly, it may not be too long before the Ruby Amaze 4G completely outrumors the Droid Bionic — which is not an easy task by any means.

HTC Vigor with 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and Beats sighted in Dutch online store

Not much is known about the HTC Vigor, but if the above image is accurate, we have more than a wagonload to look forward to. A supposed render and spec list of the new superphone showed up on The Phone House, a Dutch online retailer, and was quietly taken off the site at a later time. According to the site, the Vigor will have a 4.3-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 resolution; it’ll also offer a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, Android 2.3.4, and integrated Beats Technology — which would make the Vigor the first labor of HTC’s latest purchasing decision. There’s no word on if the device will have LTE inside, though Verizon docs indicated previously that it’s geared up to be the Thunderbolt’s replacement sometime this fall. This time, let’s get that battery life figured out, okay?

AT&T postponing the LG Thrill 4G to September 4?

Are you excited that a 3D phone is coming to AT&T? If you answered yes, sit down and think happy thoughts, because we’re now hearing that the Thrill 4G — aka the LG Optimus 3D — may be delayed once more. According to a screenshot leaked from Radio Shack, the ill-fated device is getting pushed back to a tentative September 4th launch date for unknown reasons. As such, the reseller’s putting a halt on pre-orders of the phone until further notice. We’ve reached out to AT&T for official comment and will let you know if we hear anything back. Regardless, at the rate this phone is going, the Thrill is quickly devolving into a depression.

HTC Bliss spotted frolicking in the blurry wild?

We haven’t heard much about the HTC Bliss since it popped up on a Verizon roadmap earlier this month, but the folks over at PocketNow have obtained photos of what could be the handset’s first public appearance. The so-called “women only” smartphone, which recently passed through the FCC, is rumored to run on a 800MHz single-core processor and will reportedly sport a new version of HTC’s Sense UI. It’s also expected to run Android 2.3 and to rock a GSM 900MHz radio, though, as you can tell, it’s a little difficult to glean any of that from the above blurry images. No word yet on whether it’ll launch in September, as expected, or whether it’ll look a bit more feminine when it does, but we’ll keep you posted.

Samsung Hercules, HTC Ruby available from T-Mobile on October 26th?

We knew that the Samsung Hercules and HTC Ruby were both making their way to T-Mobile, and now, it looks like they’ll be doing so in tandem. The folks over at Tmo News have obtained a leaked back to school slideshow (pictured above) that pegs the release date for both devices as October 26th, despite earlier murmurs that the Ruby would be hitting shelves in September. There’s still a lot of mystery surrounding the phones’ specs and peculiarities, though Samsung’s Galaxy S II variant is rumored to pack some pretty impressive horsepower — including, perhaps, a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8060 processor. We’ll have to wait and see whether it lives up to its expectations and whether this reported release date proves valid, but we’ll let you know as soon as we do.
