The Personal Robotics Group at MIT may have already strapped a Kinect to a iRobot Create, but BiliBot did them one better by adding an arm to the mix — not to mention this cherry-red frame. Better yet, you can order your own BiliBot Developer Edition now for the affordable price of only $1,200. OK, maybe calling $1,200 “affordable” is a bit of a stretch, but in the world of programmable robotics that’s not half bad, especially when you consider this self-contained robotics platform comes with its own Ubuntu-booting Core i3 computer with 4GB of RAM. The preinstalled ROS software can be used to steer the bot using data gathered through the battery operated Kinect and also to control the arm, which is connected to geared motors instead of more traditional servos. Those motors allow the BiliBot to lift three pounds up to a height of 17 inches — perfect for beer delivery, provided you’re sitting. That delectable G-Slate we just reviewed is today shaking off the cobwebs from its long journey westward and is making itself available for purchase directly through T-Mobile. The price is still a daunting $530 with a two-year contract and there’s a suggested retail price of $750, though we’re not seeing any option to obtain it that way. Then again, why would you want to, it’s a 4G tablet designed to ride T-Mobile’s HSPA+ airwaves anyhow. In more budget-conscious news, the Sidekick 4G is also making its retail debut today, at $99 on contract, bringing all the goods of a Galaxy S handset, combined with a QWERTY slider keyboard and a tricked-out Android UI. Hit the links to learn more about both, though don’t blame us if you end up doing damage to your bank balance in the process.

Update: Fear not, there is indeed a fine-print option to purchase the tablet off-contract if you really want to spend $750.

Laptop makers seem to enjoy making our lives difficult by sneaking “buy now” labels onto their latest products and Lenovo has kept up that tradition by making its 12.5-inch ThinkPad X220 available without telling anyone. It’s now ready to purchase at the company’s online store, starting at $849 with a Core i3-2310M processor, and its convertible tablet sibling, the X220T, is also eager to be snatched up, though its starting price is $1,249 with the same CPU on board. Eight business days will be required for delivery to reach you, but we’d wait a whole lot longer than that for the gorgeous IPS display and extreme battery life on offer. Sadly, you can’t upgrade beyond the 1366 x 768 resolution nor away from the Intel HD Graphics 3000 “option,” but then we hear that PowerPoint presentations should be blindingly fast on these machines anyhow. Looks like somebody pulled the trigger on an order page for the mythical white iPhone 4 a little early over at Three UK. The phone that had previously been listed on the carrier’s site for a long, long time (sans any ability to actually order it) has now sprouted up a page all its own with the magical option to “buy now.” We managed to get all the way through to an order confirmation page, so if it’s a mistake it’s a very thoroughgoing one. Calling up Three’s telephone ordering line and PR personnel brought us no closer to finding out the truth, but this particular order page was discovered via a tweet by a Three affiliate — whose tweets have since gone private — suggesting it was dug up from someone in the know. Our suspicion is that Apple’s finally about ready to dish this phone up to the people and Three has been caught testing out its order page ahead of the inevitable onslaught of white iPhone orders. Update: Three finally wised up to the fact nobody else was yet offering the pale phone for sale and has pulled the page. For now.

Update 2: Three’s official statement on the matter:

“This page is not live at the moment, it was built at the same time as the iPhone black page so that we have it ready when and should the time come to launch white. For now, it’s a hidden page that’s inactive.”

Cool your jets, buster — Cisco’s still no closer to rejoining the consumer realm. If you’ll recall, this here Android tablet was actually introduced at the front-end of the year, but it remains one for the business sect. Rivaling the PlayBook as the working man’s tablet, the Cius is now orderable through your Cisco field representative and / or authorized Cisco channel reseller. Of course, tracking him / her down on a Friday is another thing entirely, but you can expect the first shipments to go out “this month.” Excited? Jazzed? Bubbling over? You betcha.
