It may be a Vibrant with Froyo, a front-facing camera and a thing for Joseph Gordon-Levitt, but it’s still downright enviable when you consider the Galaxy S 4G‘s innate support for 21Mbps downloads. As of today, neither Samsung nor T-Mobile USA have been perfectly clear about how much they’d be demanding for this guy, but thanks to a leaked pricing sheet from Walmart, it looks as if it’ll be a solid $50 less than most new smartphones. Those who waltz into Wally World later this month will be able to take one home for $148.88 with a two-year service agreement, or if you’re the No Strings Attached kind of individual, $650. Ah, the choices we’re saddled with.

The evidence for a Motorola Xoom launch on February 24th just became that bit more compelling, courtesy of this here Best Buy ad. It promises Moto’s Android tablet will be in stores a couple of weeks from now, decorated with a daunting $799.99 sticker. That price agrees with one of our earliest leaks on the matter, purportedly from Verizon’s own systems, so all the pieces seem to be falling into place for a pretty exciting end to February for Android fans. This flier also has some data tariffs on it, starting at $20 per month for a 1GB allowance and stretching up to a 10GB limit for $80 (identical to VZW’s pricing with the Galaxy Tab). Doesn’t really sound like the most appealing proposition we’ve ever heard, but maybe if those prices remain static once the Xoom gets its 4G upgrade, we could learn to love them.

Update: Motorola’s official Xoom portal just went live, presumably as its Super Bowl ad finally aired.

In classic Dell fashion, the company’s most legitimately appealing Android handset yet has just gone up for sale with nary a peep marking its arrival. If you’ll recall, the US announcement for the Venue wasn’t exactly overloaded with facts and figures, we were basically told that it’s coming, and hey, here it is now! A cent under $500 buys you an unlocked Android 2.2 device — with either AT&T or T-Mobile 3G bands, your choice — equipped with a 4.1-inch WVGA AMOLED display, an 8 megapixel camera, and some of the best looks on any smartphone yet. The preliminary shipping date we’re seeing is February 18th, let’s hope that’s a much more concrete number than we’ve experienced with the Venue Pro, eh?

Want yourself a “Prestige” portable media player to make even legit smartphones blush in envy? Then the D3 Plenue from Cowon might just be for you, what with its 1080p video playback, 32GB of storage, Android 2.1 OS, and 3.7-inch, 800 x 480 AMOLED display. It’s just that today we’re finding the Prestige label also extends to its price, which Amazon has set at a mighty $370. That’s not terrible when contrasted against unsubsidized pricing for comparable smartphones, but then this isn’t a smartphone. Availability of the D3 Plenue is limited to an undated pre-order for the moment, giving you at least a little more time to deliberate on the value this souped-up PMP represents.

It’s been an interesting few weeks of rumored Dell Streak 7 prices, but as promised, T-Mobile’s setting the record straight with some official dollar figures. Yep, that predicted $330 price was indeed pretty far off — turns out, T-Mobile will be offering the 7-inch, Android 2.2 tablet for just $200 (okay, $199.99 to be exact) on contract starting this Wednesday, February 2nd. Of course, you’ll have to sign a two-year contract to get that sweet deal as well as send in a $50 mail-in rebate. Those looking for a bit more freedom can snatch up the NVIDIA Tegra 2-powered, T-Mobile HSPA+ slate for 450 bucks, which actually seems like a pretty sweet deal to us considering the Samsung Galaxy Tab is still about $500 off contract and $300 with two years of service. Sure, the Galaxy Tab has a few more things going for it, including a higher resolution display and bigger battery, but you’ll just have to wait for our full review of the Streak 7 to find out if Dell’s got a killer “4G” Android tablet hitting shelves later this week.
