Just a hunch here, but we’re guessing that Alienware‘s CES stash all hit the production line at right about the same time. During the past day, we’ve seen the company’s M15x, M17x and OptX AW2310 hit the shipping stage, the latter of which is the firm’s first-ever 3D monitor. Checking in at 23-inches and boasting a full 1080p panel, this one also packs a 3 millisecond response time, 120Hz refresh rate and stereoscopic support when NVIDIA’s GeForce 3D Vision Kit is utilized. It’s up for order right now at $469, but if you follow that Logicbuy link down there, you’ll be able to snag it (for a limited time) for $449.10. Too bad that 3D kit will set you back another $200, but hey, no one said that witnessing the third dimension was cheap. Or remotely interesting. But mostly cheap.

Officially speaking, the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus still have a weekend ahead of ’em before they can be sold, but if you know the right person in your local Best Buy, you could very well be playing with one hours before your contemporaries. An anonymous tipster beamed over the image you see above via our handy iPhone app, noting that both of Palm’s first entries onto Verizon’s network were in stock. Granted, neither are for sale per se, but what’s stopping you from moseying on down and giving it a shot? Nothing, that’s what.

CES is great and all, but one of the bones we choose to pick with the show is the typically long gap between the Vegas introduction and the mass market ship date. Thankfully for us, Toshiba has no interest in keeping us waiting for one of the world’s first Intel Wireless Display-equipped (or WiDi, as it were) laptops. The Satellite E205 — which comes stocked with a 2.53GHz Core i5-430M processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory, a dual-layer DVD writer, 14-inch display (1,366 x 768 resolution), 500GB hard drive and a Netgear Push2TV wireless display adapter — is now shipping from Best Buy. Of course, you’ll have to deal with integrated Intel graphics, but the inbuilt wireless display technology, multicard reader, 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Ethernet jack and media buttons are nice inclusions when you consider the respectable $899.99 price point. So, what’s the hesitation?

Thought Mitsubishi’s LaserVue set was pricey? Hah. HDI, the California startup with dreams of producing a 100-inch 3D HDTV that’s driven by lasers, has just released the first hint of a price range, and as predicted, it ain’t cheap. The set — which has already been deemed a favorite by The Woz — has reportedly had its first batch manufactured over in China, and we’re told that a smattering of ’em should be available by May. If all goes well, the HDTV should be in full-scale production mode by Christmas of next year, and we’ve learned that the whole thing will measure around 10-inches thick. Amazingly, it’ll also go relatively easy on the power meter, but the $10,000 to $15,000 price estimate is bound to shock some. Of course, Panasonic’s own 103-inch 3D HDTV is currently pegged at around $75,000, so when you think of it from that perspective, HDI’s offering is a bona fide bargain. And totally worth liquidating your future kid’s college fund for.

There was a definite moment of utter pre-launch confusion there, but it looks like the Barnes & Noble Nook is indeed shipping to customers — reader Peter just sent in this photo of his cold chilling on a desk. We’ll see if B&N can crank out the rest of its pre-orders before the holidays, but at least there’s hope now — and we can always tell you where Peter lives if that doesn’t work out.
